lol i respect your melee but my personal opinion on melee weapon is the sword yes the beautiful sword from witch is faster and can do just about the same damage as bertha but i'm not meaning no disrespect i respect your choices and opinion but for my taste of zombie killing is the sword lighter, faster, and if right one durable. :)

I forged a killer camp knife 4 weeks after the surgery and later a small Damascus hunter and another camp knife.

I didn't even get a scar for my trouble.

I plan on making some wild blades this year, think Sutton Hoo.

That was cool, but I think I'd rather use 2 cleavers, sure the battle-axe is handy but it's heavier and thus slower. When fighting zombies speed matters.
