Hi, your problem is that the thread is not engaged between the tension plates, so their is no tension on the top thread so it balls up the bottom. Make sure when you lower your presser foot check for tension on your top thread. That is what happens when the top thread has no tension.
It was just a problem with the tension and threading it right, if I remember correctly. Thought it'll do it on occasion once ever now and again, but I just rethread it a few times over.
