I am not sure I know what you mean he Is a timneh so his tail isnt as red as a Congo . he also a baby in this only a lil over a year old in this video back in 08 so still was changing and growing He even had a lil red factor in this video yet hadn' t molted it out . Thanxs for watching though

There are two types of African greys "congo" and Timneh" congo's are larger, have pale grey feathers, completly black beak, and it is said they are not has "calm" as the timneh(they are said to be naturaly more nervous) and timneh have a very dark maroon tale when mature congos have a bright vibrant red tale. It is said that the congo is prettier to look at,but the timneh a better pet due to its less nervous disposition,but they have the same amazing inteligence as each other. I envy you!

I love the habit they have of 'kinda makin up their own versions' of a lot of our songs!Iv workmen in at present (bathroom conversion) They came to my home singing/whistling adult songs and they leave it singing/whistling 'nursery rhymes' 'I do like 2b beside the seaside' + 'the adams family'etc haha!

You have so many wonderful moments ahead of you Kanicki is young barely a year and a half so I am still learning as well how to teach him things I try and make it fun Fawn over him wiht lots of squeals and good boys when he does something I like I play music for him sing around him let him see me dancing and bobbin my head up and down Sounds silly but since they want /need to be part of the flock it works . :)

Sometimes if you just move around up+down and pretend dance to some music and songs with greys (and cockatoos as well) they will normally copy you..Theyre clever like that! (Im not biassed..NO..What makes you think Im biassed? haha!!)

Just saw your comment pop up .. I hold Kanicki all the time he goes in everyroom of the house with me he gets scratches cuddles kisses constantly he is so friendly! I introduced him as a baby to so many people he lets anyone hold him and isnt shy at all to strangers talks to everyone I have videos of him on here being held n scratched outside in his harness have to look around a bit but they are there .
