And lamb of god, is really not a trash metal band that ain't doing something new.

Slayer's asking of certain bands to play on their tour does not automatically merit these bands as amazing groups. You speak as if you are a "know all" of music yet you seem to hardly understand it from a business standpoint. Headlining acts choose bands that will draw a crowd. (You may now be thinking "Oh they draw a crowd so they must be good, right?") To put things into perspective, The Jonas Brothers draw a crowd.
