  • That glorified point sparring punk what joke he is I laughed so hard I cried when he choked at bejing......And his brother mark shouldn't have even been aloud to go watch the mark lopez olympic trials gold medal match that is a joke it came out to be who knew who in the judges corner because he didn't win.

  • when you win two gold medals and a bronze and come out as a world champion as many times as he has...you can throw your tongue around like you do...but untill then...respect his record...oh...and if you can bash him as well as you do...try and go in there and take a fast kick from him

  • I am a 4 time national champion in taekwondo and I have won nationals in karate and for your information i have beat mark lopez at nationals a few years ago in knoxville and he doesn't kick that fast so you may want to think about that next time before you open your mouth to people you don't know.

  • your a 4 time national champion in taekwondo you say, cool. I want to compete in the olympics 2 years from now, my dad taught me some martial arts for a while, I want to take some taekwondo classes, train for 2 years straight, compete and beat the lopezez really badly

  • Thats a really good goal to have but understand to compete in the olympics you have to be a black belt and anywhere you can get a black belt in two years you need to take a real good look at the caliber of black belts there producing you do what you want but my advice is just focus on the art learn to be learning and perfect your technique and be a good student tournaments will come in time.

  • Well, Your advice sounds really good. I heard a story that A guy trained and got a black belt in a 1year martial arts class that usually takes 4 years. Its because He trained that hard and went to that class every single day. With hard work and determination, I think I can beat them if I train for 2 years straight

  • I'm telling you right now don't worry about belts they mean nothing. that guy went to class for a year and got inj tight with the instructor and probably worked really hard and got well conditioned and can probably do things like run five miles and do 200 push ups straight hes probably in good shape but I refuse to believe that in one year he learned what he should know to have enough bragging rights to call himself a black belt. Its sad that those are the standards we of society we live in.

  • he is going to realise that all his pushups and kicks he did so someone handed him a belt he never learned how to protect himself or even throw a proper punch Gitchen Funakoshi was the master that brought karate from okinawia to japan and not to long before he died he told someone that he wished he had more time because he was just finaly understanding the straight punch (which is one of the first techniques you learn) do you really belive he did more in a year then funakoshi did in his life.

  • @weakfrontkick hmm....so what were the results of your division? who got first, second and third? was it USATaekwondo or AAU??? I am wondering what your name is...i guess that would be pretty big news for you to beat mark lopez...congrats!

  • lopez coach whines like a baby for points

  • so who won?

  • cha man that my idiol out their!

  • I am the best !!!xD

  • Hadi Saei is the best

  • steven lopez is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yossef Karami is one of my favourite fighters... I think he is gifted.. Hes matches are entertaining.. he fights smarts and has variety of kicks. Lopez in my opinion makes tkd boring as hell... clinching.. lifting and blocking with the knee. I hope Karami gets gold in the olympics... he deserves it

  • the guy form iran should know by know that steven is counter fighter, he has the talent to be an attacker, but he knows he is good so he just chills back and waits, that's how he scored all those points, it doesnt take a genius to realize that...i still say that steven is overrated. DOnt get me wrong the guy is talented like fuck, but but overstimate him and that gives him more advantage, bc they are giving him the win mentally

  • the top three from this tournament qualified for the olympics. that was canada (1), usa (2) and italy (3). the usa canda fight started with a towel thrown in by usa. therefore, i dont think there is any chance of karami or the others gettin to the olympics in beijing. there seems to be a cut down by the olympics on the no of taekwondo games to having only 3 fighters in a category i think. unless im mistaken.

  • karami was fasting as it was the month of ramadan. therefore, he did not drink any water during matches and had no food since 3am in the morning. he also had a fight before this one. a reason for why he is so tired and exhausted and the lack of agression.

  • I was there at the event, the majority of the muslim country fighters such as Iran, azerbajan, turkey etc were not drinking any water during breaks as it was the month of ramadan and they were all fasting. Clearly, a factor for why Karami wasnt aggressive and fought not to his potential.

  • Youssef will step his game up completely for the olympics! He was very sloppy and heavy here, with hardly any agression (didn't seem to care). The slovenian fighter who fought Steven was one of the highlights of the tournament, very impressive!

Ko Suk Hwa - another fly option.

  • Korea have really good fly fighters... but what happaned with the guy who was in semi 2007 World champ?? why didnt they sent ko suk hwa instead?

  • Karami was fighting at 50% capacity - not making excuses- he was awful! If anyone watched Karamis other fights, you'll know what I'm talking about. I spoke to him the day before his fight and an hour after his fight; he was relaxed, smiling, completely unfazed. His sights are on the asian Qual.

  • He looked the same way when he fought Lopez at the 2004 Olympics.

  • Even though Steven Lopez won this fight, his technique was not impressive at all. Lifting front legs and clinching... that's all he does to win the fight.

  • it works.

  • fucking boring though.

  • NO LEVENT TUNCAT IS THE BEST -58 KG!!!

  • no... he is not... really really not.. its one thing to be good in euro but another thing in the rest of the world... what have he accomplished? nothing in the rest of the world.. but chu mu yen is on top in every international fights.. he might not win but he stay on top.

  • I disagree. If Choi Yeon Ho bumped up to Fly he would destroy Chu Mu Yen (again). I'm really surprised Korea has not chosen him, as he's won every international competition he's fought in, including a complete shut out vs. Chu Mu Yen.

  • are you sure? i dont know why they didnt chose him either.... didnt korea have national qualifier for olympic trials? i cant imagine how he can beat chu my yen.. but i know he had done it.

  • He is simply unbeatable...............

  • wtf this fuck was one of the worst ive seen both fighters are at thier worst form ...

  • do you have fights with chu mu yen? its -58 and he is one of the best all time! He won Olympic 2004. please upload more matches if you have!

  • steven Lopez's style is hard to fight, his style makes his opponents look bad to the eyes of people who are still new to Taekwondo

  • If you think Karami is a bad fighter, than you dont understand the game of taekwondo, you dont understand whats going on behind the kicks, Yossef Karami is one of the worlds greatest

  • That was the worst Iranian fighter I have ever seen. Thanx for posting that, appreciated!
