  • How the heck did you upload 70 mins of footage on youtube?!!!

  • We apply for and obtained Director status.

  • And what does that entail? Cool video btw!

  • Did this air on VH1?

  • I believe Lynn M is a great singer. Perfect for

this band. New cd soon. 23+ songs they said a few months ago... Hear more PK-KAW tracks at:

  • wow , this is great. After being a life long Kansas fan my attention is immediately drawn to the vocalist of course. He does a descent job of singing in the shadow of the great one (SW) but I wish he wouldn't punch the words. Smoother articulation would have made him sound much better imo.

  • I love Kerry Livgren, Kansas was one of my favorite bands in the 70's. I was also saved in 1985 around the time Kerry was starting his Christian music. Than I really liked AD with Warren Ham as the lead singer. They were one of my favorite Christian bands (I liked 80's Christian Rock). This band has a similar sound, good musicians, but I dont like the lead singer as well as others Kerry has played with. But he is an awesome songwriter, guitar player, & has a great message to testify about!

  • kerry was saved after monolith! his first solo album seeds of change was entirelly about his conversition, with ronnie james dio singing LIVE FOR THE KING, AND MASK OF THE GREAT DECIEVER! as only that voice can! he then signed with sabbath! all the songs he wrote for audio visions were confessions of faith! HOLD ON he wrote for his wife who haddent converted yet! i was saved in 81, because of audio visions, steve left right befor drastic measures because he didnt want to sing what he didnt feel

  • Quote: "steve left right befor drastic measures because he didnt want to sing what he didnt feel."

That's not quite accurate. Steve left before the VINYL CONFESSIONS album, not DRASTIC MEASURES. VC was the first Kansas album without Steve, and DM was the second.

The band actually recorded demos for a number of the songs Kerry had written for the VC album, with Steve on lead vocals, but he left the band before final recording began (and was, of course, replaced by John Elefante).

  • your right i ment vynal confessions, was a late night when i wrote the comment!

  • No problem. I've done that before myself (done posts when I was tired). Perfection is ever-elusive. *laugh*

  • Steve left because he was on booze and drugs.

  • Not according to Steve himself. He has said that his disastrous descent into drugs began a few years after he left Kansas, when his new band Streets essentially failed. They were a great band but got weak record company promotion and little radio airplay, and things fell apart financially. Even though it wasn't really his fault, he felt like his best wasn't good enough and didn't know what else to do.

Not making excuses for his subsequent drug use -- just tellin' it like it was.

  • Shoal Creek is about 5 minutes from my house...AND I MISSED IT!!! Next time!

Great band and Livgren is still the legend.

  • Excellent. Thanks for posting this.

It's so good to hear more of the

    details of Kerry's spiritual travels.

I pray that God will bless Kerry with

    long life and good health.

  • July 25 '79 he says... 7-2+5=7-79.

Funny... yet Nice. Kerry born in '49 ?

  • OK I'm an atheist, but the music is really good and the film was instructive about the phenomenon of belief and it's importance in a person's life, although I probably can never really comprehend it.

  • These guys are awesome. I thank Kerry Livgren and his band for this art and for helping motivate me to re-examine my own spiritual relationship with Christ.

  • Great band. Great performance. If you get the opportunity to see them live, I highly recommend it.

  • I'm a Livgren fan for 30 years. I have nothing but respect for his religious convictions even if I don't understand them completely.

  • @djjserpico1

    My utmost respect for you.

rather than bash Kerry for his beliefs, you respect Him for them, even if you don't understand. From listening to Kerry in his interview/testimony, you possess the curiosity as Kerry did in his early days. Keep your mind and respect open and may you come to understand.

  • Thank you for this. Kerry seems like a real down to earth and humble man. Praise God for what has been done in Kerry's life.

  • wmw datamanos2 com GREAT K site :)

  • it's not a diss but it's incorrect. jesus himself was correct, but to say other religions have no chance is ignorant.

  • You're completely ignorant of what Jesus said. Either reject Him or reject other religions. He left no middle ground.

"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through Me."

"Unless a man is born again, he cannot enter the kingdom of Heaven."

  • Ridiculous fundamentalist codswallow! Everything is always "either/or".

  • It's called "absolute truth". You're right in saying that it's "either/or". Choose life or death. Light or darkness. Jesus gave no other options. He was either a liar, a lunatic, or the very Truth He claimed to be: God in the flesh. It's up to you and all the rest of us to choose which we believe He was and is. Just be careful of that choice, knowing that we'll all be standing before Him one day...

  • it is rather an either/or situation. Jesus didn't leave us a lot of options. He, himself, made the either/or claims. The crux of it is whether he was who he said he was/is. If he is "the way, the truth & the life" as he claimed, it has ramifications for us all. It is an exclusive claim (the exclusion of all other religious claims), BUT, his offer of salvation is to ALL people, totally INCLUSIVE. But we have the choice to receive or reject it.

  • No 'dis' was intended, just making a statement...sorry if anyone felt disrespected.

  • Jesus Christ is what's real. All else will fade and die.

  • There's no need to dis the other. Just hold to what you know.
