  • One of my favorite films. Nice work.

  • idiot is such a judgmental term. i prefer filmically impaired.

  • "Captain Smith admitted as much to me before I shot him at the Victory Motel."

    BLAM!!

Great edit and sound splice in there!

  • this was an awesome Movie i own a copy, I watch it when i want a film with good action, mystery, intrigue, thrills, romance, and comedy. this film should have won an award, at least it made Russell Crowe, and Guy Pearce Hollywood ac tors.

  • @imperatorcaesar100 It won 2 Oscars, Best Supporting Actress - Kim Basinger and Best Adapted Screenplay based on the book by James Ellroy

  • God this should have won Best Picture. Bloody Titanic.....

  • I love Bud White!

  • @mothersfreakout yeah? budwiser is better

  • Actually , the story of the movie is not exactly like in the book. It's still good but the real book story is better. Meeks robed the dope from Mickey C. during a deal dope , covered by Dud. The DA wasn't a fag. Mobsters like Stompanato did the night owl job... by the way what do "Hush" and "on the QT" mean ?

  • @samy310383: Hush-Hush and On the QT just mean quiet. Basically, "Shh, I'm letting you in on a secret."

  • Hush-Hush and On the QT just mean quiet. Basically, "Shh, I'm letting you in on a secret." I really want to read this book. I saw a special on cable about the man who wrote it. He's got an interesting past.

  • @AZSue @AZSue I finally learned that Hush Hush is the english version of our french "chut" (or shh). You never read a James Ellroy's book ? In a way, you're lucky, because good things are to come for you ! Damn right he has an interesting past. The murder of his mother influenced when he wrote the black dahlia. Between J.E and Stephen King, you have most of the greatest movies adapted from their books. Try the Quatuor of LA and the underworld USA trilogy.

  • ya well done truly good shit here and its really got the feel for the movie too by putting in the hush hush bit at the end

  • Yeah this video was fantastically done.

  • Hahahah. I just watched the movie (again), and searching for some more info I stumbled upon this. Man, never thought that someone might need this kind of vid, but, now that I think of it...

Thanks anyway, pretty cool that you took the time.

    Cheers.

  • nice, man.

  • I recommend reading the book even if you already saw the movie, because the plot (even though you already know part of it) is WAY bigger, way more intense and has different layers to it. Along with "The big nowhere" it's Ellroy's masterpiece, a gothic cathedral of pathos!

  • This is great! Very well done. This is one of my favorite movies of all time. It's also one of my favorite books by my favorite author James Ellroy, interestingly enough the movie departs a great deal from the book, they leave like a third of the book and the ending is slightly different. But the adaptation for this movie is simply perfect.
