why are they comparing the smilodon to lions, when the biggest living cats alive are the siberian tigers? and i read somewhere that smilodon was bigger than any of the largest living big cats, and not the same size as a lion

@Hongers1 the sabertooth cat wasbigger than any other cat alive together but siberian tigers would have been taller. Alot of websites say that the saber was bigger than modern day cats but they're talking about weight and strength wise. American lions were bigger and taller than any modern day cat. They were also bigger and taller then sabertooth cats and had the largest brains out of all modern day cats and prehistoric cats.
