I saw Labi at The Stables in 1979 and again in Leicester in 2008. Got to speak to him and he signed a couple of my albums. Love him. He is such a lovely person.. His music sums him up. I wish I could write a song and dedicate it to him, but it wouldn't be as beautiful as his compositions.

Went to see him in 1971 ish at the Shakespeare in Liverpool. Went backstage to meet him. I had a royal blue satin maxi dress with little blue flowers embroidered on and he sang a couple of lines of this song backstage to me. I must have only been about 19/20. I was very shy and remember blushing beetroot, which I think made him sing all the more. Lovely person and a gentleman. Spoke very softly.

I so Love and adore this song,and have`nt heard it for years,I actually heard Labi Siffre singing it in concert roughly around 38-39years ago,I used to put it on my old record player to get my baby sister to sleep back then whilst babysitting,and it always worked! cheers for putting this up!
