  • DARN!!!! I JUST GOT GTX55O TI N REALIZED I DONT HAVE A STRONG ENOUGH POWER SUPPLY!! :(

  • Thank you I have the same Dell and want to upgrade the video card and power supply!

  • i am using the high power plus 650watt modular psu works and fits great allthough dell dont know this lol you can get one from your local pc world

  • How about a dedicated power supply from visiontek (450W)? Do I need to take out my original power supply system? Or is it easy to install (I've heard that it fits in the extra disc slot...)?

  • O dear god thank you :D

Doing exactly what you're doing, but its nice to see that someone else did it without trouble :D

Also, that was a dual slot graphics card right? Also planning on putting one of those in xD

  • How the heck do you get the PSU out of the case?

I unscrewed the PSU but i got stuck and i couldn't get it out. Could you please please illustrate how you got the PSU out of the case?

  • Can i get details or link on the specific psu your using?

  • i put a modular 650 watt psu in mine fits like a glove

  • @marv126p

which psu are you using? i want to do the exact same thing, not sure if it would match up dimension wise for me... are you using studio xps 8100?? Thanks

  • @marv126p

Can you please tell me what PSU you used?? I was concerned about fit and dimensions. Really want to upgrade mine with modular. Thanks.

  • Would have liked to have seen a vid of ya putting it in, have a shitty 350w in my xps 8100 and like you it aint powrful enough for my GTX260 had a RADEON HD5700 but that kept crashing they gave me the GTX to replace it but gave me a stock card and not a underclocked GTX from the Factory, tying to get them to upgrade the PSU at the moment they cant seem to do maths in Dell

    350W PSU - 95W Draw down from CPU - 500W GPU = CRASHVILLE

  • would a geforce gtx260 896mb card fit in there without needing a new psu?

  • @33point1 no

  • i have xps 8100 and my cpu temps been high ,im also thinking about getting new psu what are your cpu temps ?
