  • @Suntabarbara Sounds like an idea to definitely consider.

  • had full screen and at 2:44 i thought i was going blind LOL looks delicious

  • @adyyy22 Thanks for the kind words!

  • Great simple recipe, thank you. Can you answer why the meat is called English roast? As an Englishman (forget the name Texas it's a long story) I have never known anyone use that cut to roast as whilst it's great for slow cooking it can be tough as boots when roasted. I was just a bit curious that's all. Good video though

  • @texas77581 To be honest, I have no idea.

  • why would i want to see an ad about insurance when i'm try to watch a vid about making beef stew? good call youtube you know me so well (sarcasm)!!!

  • @losthaze Yeah, you would think it would all be food based advertising. Are you going to give the stew a try?

  • @BBQMyWay yup! i've made beef stew before but never in a crock pot so i thought i'd get a little online advise

  • @losthaze I have no doubt you will like it. Let me know how it turns out.

  • @losthaze Just saw this. Yeah, the algorithems don't always match up...

  • good one!

  • @kadensgrandpa08 Yeah, I just never think ahead to do it.

  • what are the spices you're using - sound like you're saying Fuzzy pepper and Fuzzy something else...

  • @circusmonkey10 It is no longer available.

  • That looks good sir! I'm trying to prepare it later for dinner with my beautiful mom..greetings from the Philippines! good job sir!and thank you!

  • @deathscythekim729 Let me know if your mom likes it. That's the ultimate test!

  • @BBQMyWay It's her first time to taste some traditional Beef stew and she absolutely loves it..here in the Philippines we have our own version of beef stew we called it BAKARETA :P closely the same except it has liver spread and milk/cream..I'm so sorry for my English..thanks again sir goodluck

  • Did this myself too, only I used some fresh moose sausage instead of the beef. Still pretty amazing : D

  • @Mystyk Sounds good to me.

  • @Mystyk ....NO, c'mon seriously? I'm from New York so I'm thinking to myself, "God there are some strange people in the United States". Moose Sausage? Is that anything like Moose Cock? Jesus Christ Wept.

  • @Mystyk What a way to ruin beef stew. Even if it were delicious....I'd be like , "Hey Harry, great stew!" What's in this?? Oh, I put Moose Sausage. *SPIT* *SPIT* *SPIT* You asshole! I'm so getting even with you Harry.

  • A good tip for reducing the tears when cutting onions is put them in ice water for a bit before hand. I love Beef Stew made in the Slow Cooker.

  • @moviehound71 I've tried that. My wife has contacts so she usually cuts them. They don't seem to burn her near as badly.

  • That looks lovely. I am going to try this recipe out next week.

  • @Kimtheblue Let me know how it turns out!

  • Tried this today and it was great. Did it your way except I didn't have the wine. I am looking forward to trying more.

  • @luckyregina3 Glad you liked it!

  • I made this today and it was fantastic. Writing this down in my cookbook. Can't wait to try some more things.

  • I don't have any wine on hand, is there anything else that I can use?

  • @luckyregina3 It will still be fine without the red wine.

  • I just love it when a man cooks.....and you can cook Beef Stew. Thanks for the recipe!

  • @mmorrellwilson Well thank you!!!

  • After considering how difficult things can get with limited time for cooking - you've just taken me over the edge and now I'm gonna go get me that darn slow cooker. Nice video boss; just got my tummy rumblin'.

  • @williamsamuelson1 Let me know how it turns out!

  • Whats with the special effects with the onion?

  • great video, thank you for sharing. Pretty home too :)

  • like the song! where can I find it

  • Hey I just bought a Slow Cooker today! I'm going to try your recipe this weekend for dinner guests! Thanks for the clear explanation. Didn't quite catch what that last thing was you added though - the thing in the pottle that fell into the stew! Cheers

  • @litlemissflirt A little corn starch with water to thicken the stew up a bit.

  • @litlemissflirt the bottle that fell in the pot was (i think) a little more of the steak rub/seasoning

  • What a exquisite dish, can you show us how to make the crispy bread to go with this.

  • i'm a single guy who lives with just his room mate, and i was hopeing to make a pot of stew just like mum used to :D

how long do you think it will keep in the fridge, and whats the best way to re-heat?

  • @madskillz808 In the fridge, 4 or 5 days tops. Sometimes I freeze the leftovers in a zip lock bag. That works well too.

  • thank u

  • Simply delicious!! Haven't tried it yet but it looks simply mouthwatering!

  • I think you will really like it! Thanks for stopping by.

  • does beef stew go bad if it isnt in the frigde after being cooked? say if i cooked a massive pot how long can i leave it in the port before it goes bad?

  • I have never tested this to know. Might lead to some unwelcome bodily outcomes. If the stew is kept warm it should be fine. It's when it cools off that all the nasty things start happening. I would definitely rather be safe than sorry.

  • I didn't get the names of all the spices you were using. Can I use Cranberry juice instead of red wine? Also, what is a great (name brand) knife for cutting meat and all around kitchen use? I'm using the Furi knife and it's not sharp enough. Excellent video.

  • cant you hold the camera still ?????

  • No, I am not capable of holding a camera still.

  • @BBQMyWay i am also not capable of holding a camera still xD

  • Cool. I never thought of caramelizing the onions first. I'm gonna try this next time I make stew! Thanks for posting this.

  • I think you will like it. Thanks for stopping by.

  • Cool. I never thought of caramelizing the onions first. I'm gonna try this next time I make stew! Thanks for posting this.

  • I am 6 months pregnant and dont feel like cooking anything so your slow cooked beef stew will be amazing... I am cooking it tonight

  • the recipe looks great and i'm going to try this tomorrow, but your camera work needs work! It moves too often, and often in circular motions for some reasons? Just a friendly suggestion

  • Thanks for the advice.

  • I suggest you avoid my videos then... my craptastic camera work has been known to cause seizures in the infirm and some small animals.

  • Hi!! I'm having some friends over on Friday and will make this recipe...In the video I do not see you using tomato paste, only 2 cans of diced tomatoes...how much of tomato paste?? is used if any...And after you put in the cornstarch, how much longer do you let it sit?? and is the slow cooker kept on???

    Thanks!!

  • If I use tomato paste in this recipe it is usually no more than a couple of teaspoons. The cornstarch is done at the very end and the thickening should be apparent almost immediately. Let me know how it goes, and thanks for stopping by.

  • Hi!! I made it the day before, and then reheated and then added the cornstarch...it was a HIT!!! Thank you so much!!!! =)

  • Awesome! And thank you SO MUCH for coming back to update me!

  • wow thank you for the wonderful tip i'm going to make that for tomorrows dinner :)

  • yummy! same way we filipino do.

  • I'd use salt and fresh ground black pepper for the beef. You could also toss the beef with flour before putting it into the skillet.

  • Thank you.

  • I dont understand what you're saying to well..its like you're whispering... sexy but not understandable..

  • Wow. I don't quite know how to respond to this one...

  • oh my i am hugnry already :)

  • Not too late to fix it for tonight!!!

  • don't like that onions make you cry when you chop them? Chop your onion next to a candle or, in this case, next to the burner while you're browning the meat. The flame will burn the onion stuff in the air that irritates your eyes. I swear to god this works!!!!

  • I tolerate the discomfort. It's the proce we must pay at times for good food!

  • juz made it, eati it now YUMMMMMMMM

  • Glad you like it! Thanks for stopping by.

  • used your method to a "T" added beef stock to V8 rather than water. came out awesome! thanks

  • Glad it worked! Thanks for stopping by.

  • I usally use diced tomatos, and what was that first seasoning you put on the meat?

  • Fuzzy's Steak Rub. Really good stuff. Thanks for stopping by. Let me know how it turns out.

  • thanks for showing me how to cook beef stew......but do u really need to put tomatoes paste?

  • In my opinion, yes. Adds a silkiness and heartiness. But, I'm sure you could make it work without it.

  • I have made several stews. But by far this is the best tasting, for being so simple.I told my family members That I would not give them some,But they could buy it from me. Ha! Ha! Great Receipe

  • I m glad they liked it! I think it's worth $10.00 a bowl...what do you think?

    Thanks for stopping by.

  • I'm going to try this one out! I've already started my slow cooker with the beef, onions, and carrots...Although, I didn't sautee the onions (which is a great idea). I think I'll try out the rest of your ingredients! I like the idea of a video recipe... it's great for us visual learners! Thanks !

  • I think sauteing the onions is really important. Brings out the sweetness.

    Thanks for stopping by!

  • Look good to me . I usually to add barley. it taste so good ! You should try .

  • I've done the barley thing before. Not a big fan of it in a good stew.

  • Looks good. I'm not a huge fan of tomatoes, though. Any thoughts on a replacement?

  • Well, I suppose you could just skip the tomatoes entirely. I have never done that but I think it would still be tasty.

  • Appreciate the prompt reply and I gotta say I like your videos. Good stuff.

  • Thanks for saying so. I'll keep making them as long as I have the time and something to grill, BBQ or cook!

  • Good video. Do you ever put flour on the beef when you do this? I hear some people say it thickens the sauce. Was slightly surprised you peeld your carrots but not your potatoes; I have done away with peeling carrots for the crock pot they come out so soft anyways

  • I like the skins on the potatoes, and I have done carrots with and without their skins. Personal preference I suppose. In terms of flour, yes, that will work also. Thanks for your comments.

  • This is the best slow cook video I've seen so far on youtube. Thank you so much. I hope you make more slow cook videos.

  • Thanks for the kind words! The recipe is really delicious. I am going to do more slow cooking videos. Thanks for stopping by.

  • I just posted another slow cooker recipe. You will love it.

  • Recipe looks good, can hardly wait to try it.

  • Easy and you will love it. Let me know how it goes.

  • what where the spice mixes called dude and good stuff by the way thanks a mil

  • I just noticed I never answered this. It is called "Fuzzy's Rubs."

  • that looks yum...thanks for the vid :)
