@TheRobertnuns See that bowl? Even dogs have learnt to eat from them after years of domestication. Just think, you and your mountain clan of inbreds could after a few generations learn that method of eating rather than the age-old 'shit in hand and place in mouth' technique. Dogs! Don't you just love 'em!
Whats being fedd to the rotties? I just got one and im clueless on what to give him I bought milk formula but they say he's ready fir hard food, take note mines is five weeks old.
@rigo081909 I would suggest taking your puppy straight to the vet. Five weeks old is too young to be taken from the mother, so I am assuming this pup is an orphan. He will need his shots, and your vet will reccomend the appropriate food for his age.
i really want to get one but my neighbor has one and it is very nice but when she gets excited she gets very aggressive is that all of them or just that one
@Teddybear111504 me too and i have seen mother cats nudge their kittens to learn how to eat cat food... it got the puppy to eat. i really don't understand the point of your comment lol. are you trying to say it's abuse?
Hi. I´m from Mexico and just started to raise rottis, I want to ask you a few questiones, hope you don´t mind. I´m watching that your puppies are tailles or don´t have tail, Did they already born that way, did you cut it of, or a vet or did you use the old trick of the rubber on the tail? Than you for your time and I really appreciate your help.
@jleontovar Our puppies always go to the vet within their first few days to get their tails and dewclaws done. It's getting more popular to leave the tails on know like they do in Europe though.
@EpithalamionJinx Haha! That's their Papa! He just loved those puppies, and heard some whining, so he was concerned. Once they were a little older and could be formally introduced to him, he decided they were his puppies. Their Momma is an excellent Momma too. She just loved it when she had puppies. She is now retired from breeding.
any new food introduced to puppies should be given in a very small amounts, not just let them eat as much as they want! you are asking for trouble --- diarrhoea etc
@terlecka Thank you for your suggestion. :) We've been breeding and raising Rottweilers for over 20 years now. This was definitely not our first experience. As you can see, there are 8 puppies, so that dish (which appears huge because of their size) ends up feeding each one a small amount of food. I allow them to eat until they're full, then remove them one by one until they are all done. Their Momma is always standing close by also making sure that I do everything just right. ;)

@terlecka agreed with terlecka... although the excessive excrement is the least of your worries when it comes to excessive feeding causing growth spurts which is known to cause weak bones.
@Boltxhardrock Again, I am a breeder and have been for two decades. I wouldn't recommend anyone take on breeding or raising orphan puppies without a lot of experience and knowledge. We also do everything we do with the approval of our vet. I have not once had a puppy reported with hip dysplasia, or for that matter any health or behavioral problems at all. I always keep in touch with each person who gets a puppy from me, and ask that they report any health problems at all.
@beckystar2000 Thank you. His weight said he was ready, his maturity said he wasn't. We ended up keeping him separate during feeding time and alternating between bottle and Momma. He turned out to be a great pup. I had a terrible time letting the two little ones go.
We feed them a high quality puppy kibble mixed with water and puppy milk replacer when they are being weaned. We switch them to Canidae ALS when they are old enough.
I can't wait till my girl has hur first litter couple more years but , shes only little hurself just now lol
