You have to admit though, pretty much the only lobbyist groups that become "powerful" are the ones which already go along with US imperial/military interests. If we formed a Palestinian lobby to counter AIPAC, and if it became wealthier than AIPAC and donated more money to campaigns than AIPAC, we still wouldn't get off the ground, because how does the Palestinian cause help US imperialism in the Middle East?
