For some reason, I imagine a massive factory of robots being built. The floors are conveyor belts, and in the background, you can see machines hanging from their backs on vast assembly racks waiting to be activated...
MM7 had a VERY SHORT three-month development period according to the official MM databook. Honestly, I'm surprised they managed to whip up such a great game and soundtrack in that time period. That could be why there's similarities in some of the BGM's. MM7 haters be damned; this game NEEDED to happen after six NES entries with the same damn sprite and GUI. MM7 was a fresh breath of air for a franchise that IMO, had puttered out after MM4 (the last NES MM they should've released).
True sir, but I contend that MM6 was a very good game, better than 1-3 to my mind. Still, it does not hold up to 7 if you ask me. Perhaps it would have been better on the SNES... and dear lord, MM5. If that game was on the SNES, it probably would have been a thousand times better.
@DocRavage I've been playing the series chronologically as of late (yes, even the Game Boy MM's), and honestly found myself dragging my feet to get through MM5 & MM6.....Inafune and co. even mention that they had reached their creative peak with MM4 (at least on the NES hardware) in the databook. Stretching it out with two more needless entries hurt the franchise and fueled the "There's too many MM games/They're barely different" opinions still prevalent today. Should've jumped to SNES earlier!
@SuperAdventures Well I've actually heard rumors that in some interview it was told that MM3 was actually rushed (you can see it very well in Wily Stages with e-tanks and extra lives everywhere and almost no difficulty whatsoever), but it's still one of my favorites.
@ToTa8000 MM3 has been my favorite MM (it's also been my first), and I know a few pretty hardcore MM fans who agree with me. Only MM9 is better imo, but I'm not sure whether it counts as a real classic MM.
@ToTa8000 it was rushed. I went to this website and found that there's more unused material in Mega Man 3 than in the other games. At least that didn't stop it from being a good game and my most favorite game in the series.
Wily's finest Skull castle stage music. the villain gets more serious and the hero actually feels the weight of doom upon him for the first time ever but relies on his experience to pull him through but certainly not without great struggle and fear or doubt that someone's end is near.
I have a theory as to why this song sounds so similar to junkman's theme: Originally, junkman's theme was intended to be a wily stage theme, possibly wily stage 2, and 3 and 4 were written as variations of the theme, kind of like in Comix Zone where stage 1 page 1 throuh 3 had variations of the main stage theme. This could also explain why junkman's theme sounded so heroic rather than a theme to mirror and enemy like the rest. If not, then i guess yuko either wrote a few similar songs(cont'd)
that ended up being put in. That or she was feeling a little constipated/one-tracked at the time and these themes were done at the same time. Can't really say, i would need to get in contact with her or someone who worked on the game whom you would expect to know this stuff. But then in the end they decided JM's theme fit him better and didn't quite fit as a wily theme stage theme(though IMO, it might actually have fit pretty well)
I lacked access to the internet for a while and don't have MM7, but could hum this note for note. It's really catchy, and my 3rd fave Wily Theme after MM10 Wily stages 1 & 2. So underrated!
Honestly I think the reason why this song sounds so much like Junk Man's theme is because, just like every other song in the game though not as noticeably as this one, it's all based around the same "theme" to the game. If you listen closely to each of the songs in this game they may not have similar instruments all the time and what not but each song will normally go into similar highs and lows at certain points. It goes that way for a lot of games, actually. NO THUMBS DOWNS, 'just saying this.
Well, this is kinda random, but the title of this music "Walk the Invisible" suit a lot more Wily stage 1.Also, this is one of my favorite Megaman Musics ever :D
Me four! I wish we still had the N64 and SNES alive... Even if they are not, they are still in our hearts. I wish there was still games on the snes, N64 and nes.

If Sonic had Junk Man's theme and this theme, this theme could've been a Act 2 remix.

It uses similar instruments to those of junk man's theme and it's in the same key. Otherwise it's completely different.
love this theme btw :)
