i might not even finish my second level education. I am a leaving cert student in Gorey, and our school may close after Christmas because the government will not provide sub teachers when teachers are out. And of course, you can't have classes unattended. So therefore my school, the largest in Ireland, may close, leaving 1600 without education. If the government let this happen, I will not be happy, especially when I'm so close to doing the leaving cert.

What I said there may be overstated. My school may close down for a week or so. The government have decided to go back on their cutbacks on substitute teachers, which is a relief, but every other one still remains. There's a protest in Parnell square this Saturday against the education cuts. Maybe that'll frighten the government into more rethinking.
