@WayTooDazedConfus3d The Oscars absolutely have their fair share of political components -- but I'd say (as the man behind Irv's camera) it's erroneous to judge the quality of a script based just on the quantity of lines. Film scripts are much more about evoking visual moments that rely far less on dialogue than say, a stage play, and here I think Hurt Locker excels as much as most BP winners. But hey, thanx for watching! :)
I agree with waytoodazed, the hurt locker was easily the most overrated film of that year. Perhaps its because i didn't see it in the cinema and i heard all the hype surrounding it, that i was expecting more. I just didn't care whether the characters lived or died. That's surely a failure in the script in my book. Completely agree with the other 2 reviews though. Tom Hardy is electric in Bronson and In the Loop was hilarious. You should check out 'The thick of it'.
@jungsbodyguard Thanx for the recommendation, I will have to ask Irv about The Thick of It. I missed out on Bronson but am very curious about it esp. now that Hardy's profile is about to be raised big-time by way of the next Bat-movie. Thanks for watching :)
i hate The Hurt Locker, I mean it won Best Screenplay, are you kidding it had like 100 lines in the movie. Oscars have gone really political.
