  • Heh, even tho this is an old video, it doesn't really suck ^^' Only thing you just needed for that perfom was to take away the sloppyness with some tricks and you need more drive with the hammer strikes and slap kicks :D But allover it was a pretty good and clean perform ^^

  • LMAO!! did anyone else hear that guy go ohhhhh.. after the back sweep? haha.. anywayz your tornado kick is good but keep the left leg tucked in same as a jump kick it will look better.

    of course the speed blablabla like everyone else saids, but mine sucks also and i know it's really a condition thing, so u can't really change something like that in 1 week

    but u can change the heigh of your kicking leg in fei jiao, it's at waist lvl, but it should be at shoulder lvl. u won't get deduction at the C section (nan du) but u will get deduction at the A section (quality)

    btw, whats with all the hammers and front slaps... i thought u had better choreo :P

  • ideally 10.0, but the highest i've seen is 9.9x(yuan xiao chao i believe)

  • i think you just need to differentiate between the fast and slow movements, if the speed doesn't have enough contrast it gives the illusion you're not as fast as you are...

  • that was US team trials at UMD right? I was there, you scored higher than most of the other competitors, don't be so hard on yourself. just enjoy the sport :-)

  • this is not a specific comment on you, but I have to ask... What is with all the 2 legged jumps. In my humble opinion that is not wushu. Tornado and lotus kick cannot come off feet. It's totally different.

  • i used to do one legged tornado and one legged lotus, but then i realized that i needed more height to get more rotation on my jumps.

    Well. i probably would still be doing one legged if i hadn't broken my right ankle a while back.

    the two legged lotus is a registered move in the rulebook, so i can do it that way. that's the only reason.n

  • hey atleast u can still kick high and do flyin kicks i have a back injury for life from wushu i stretched too far casuing a permenant lumbar strain in my back discs L3-L5 so dont complain lol

  • work on the pull down on your slap kicks. overall, your movements are ok. but the speed is too monotonous on the slow side and very little explosive power. i'm sure you know all this, though.  ;)

    though i think ur speed or explosive power has to do with ur condition and fitness

    ur first half is pretty good speed, but in the second half maybe ur too tired or something, then the speed dropped down alot.. that's ashame

    though u've improved since last year brian
