Smashwords is a Supercilious, joke with all of their stupid style guide rules that are geared to sift out the simpleminded, I suppose. MC is rude and difficult to work for.
Thank you so much for this video. I have been considering smashwords for the 2 books that I have written published. I tried to wade through the "how to" list from smashwords but it was confusing, I tried to email but they don't have an email address then I tried to call but there was no phone number available. It has been discouraging . Is there a chance you could do a step-by-step video that shows how to go from pdf format to getting my books to the readers?
@patripotts There is a really comprehensive and free how-to-guide written by Mark Coker available at the Smashwords site. I published my first book there on September 14th and the experience has been very emotionally rewarding. Good luck.

For weeks, it slipped thru cracks? They don't answer thequestions or pay me, either

I quit using Smashwords, since they don't have time to pay me and answer my questions ; won't even take the time to answer.

@patripotts Don't waste your time with Smashwords. They won't answer questions; they haven't paid me. Go find another distributor; there are others.
