  • Its a great idea. I work 50-65 hours a week at a computer / on the phone on average.

(about 0830 - 1900 ) every week day. By the time i get home just have to make dinner. I use complicated systems though, so would be hard with some of the tasks that require concentration.

  • it hurts to walk?

  • wauw you have been walking all your life? You must feel so special

  • seems hard to type lol

  • she really has to do it in high heels

  • hahaahah! xD expirenced walker :D haha what a moron...of course people walk...atleast most people

  • @2976847 um she was just joking....or at least i hope she was

  • your fat

  • This seems like a good idea, but this woman admits that walking reduced her productivity by 30 percent and that she compensated for the additional exercise by being less active when she got home. For this to work, there would have to be little impact on work productivity and it would have to be in addition to one's regular exercise routine.

  • @sonoki82 good for when surfing the net but dont think employers would be happy about 30% productivity drop though lol

  • mac users...

  • slide a treadmill under your desk, wonder what that costs!

  • research shows that a multi task person can easily be distracted... that means you can't concentrate enough on your work resulting to lesser quality of work.

  • I would have liked this a lot more had it been a Tracy Ullman parody.

  • You need to get your right hem repaired.

  • You're gonna tell me that that's NOT Tracy Ullman??????

  • wtf are u talking about excuses when u got home? what kind of stupid idea is this..who invented this thing???????

  • A stupid idea is sitting for hours at a time, each and every day in the office. The point is not to get any vigorous exercise done, it is to keep your body active throughout the day,as sitting for long stretches of time is detrimental to your body and to your posture. The movement actually aids brain processes, and this setup doesn't intrude on your typing abilities . After all, you're walking 1-2mph, no more.

  • kinda stupid idea... don't u think? u get tried easily then u can't think properly.. try to do that every day.. like 8 hour a day.. while you work... see if u can done you're report on time....

  • a lot of talking and not enough typing

  • hahah she cudent go on her comp sitting down owned lololol

  • greek move?hahahaha she fell off once ahhahahahahaah bullshit lololol

  • that is so stupid wtf

  • i agree... i don't know who thinks this is original

  • this is ridiculous. Go to the gym.

  • In regard to the negative comments, remember this no work no pay. Check out 74 wpm walking 3.5 mph. Can you beat that?

  • imagine the walking machine went so fast thatyou cant reach your computer

  • good for ppl having trouble quiting on computer lol MUST GO TO COMPUTER

  • I think her brother was my year 8 science teacher! Mr. Luscombe told the class that her sister worked for Time magazine. Best teacher ever. off topic from the video but oh well.......

  • I've been doing this about four months now. It's great and sure beats sitting down 8hrs a day as I did for the past 10 years. I can still sit, or just stand, but I also average about 4 miles a day walking. Might not be the perfect way to work but neither is any other. It's just another option and I can do any computer related task save precision graphics. Sometime I stop it too for problems or concepts that require 100% concentration. Most tasks though take no more effort that sitting.

  • Go outside...get some sun...hike, jog, walk.

  • superb video had it not been for the "unhealthy" improper typing technique at 1:40

Correct typing requires wrists to be straight.

  • whats so great about this?

so what someone put a treadmill

    under a desk whoop-de-doo

why dont you just go out side and walk?

to me this si just dumb

  • can you work on the pc outside? Dumb?

  • i think its hard and annoying to work and walk and trying to get the job done right and she's wearing heels!!!!!!!!!1

  • that can't be good for your eyes.. it would have to constantly change focus

  • @test123ok

I don't think it would really be a problem. You're eyes are constantly moving and changing focus anyway. Have you ever tried to just stare at one spot for a long time? It's actually more exhausting for your eyes.

  • really nicee.. but why u wear heals?? dudeee u can injure ur self.

  • brilliant idea! Thats 1 pound a week, I sit here on my computer almost 4-5 hours a day, that doesnt mean i dont exercise and am fat like you may sstereotype,I run 2 miles every day. Thats almost a total of 300 calories. But Imagine if i could lose the same amount without really exhausting myself at a fast pace and it would be perfect! Weight loss, and you AMERICANS should consider this idea, its the only way i imagine plump people losing weight effectively. Its easy!!! What a great idea!

  • "you AMERICANS should consider this idea,"

Wow, way to stereotype, which is strange, as you seem to be American yourself.

I think that this is an absolutely stupid idea, as it would greatly decrease your typing skills, as you would be in constant motion. Seriously, what's happened to old fashioned exercise?

  • this i s possible the worst idea ever its not even ingenous

  • what the fuck??????????????????????????????????

    are you that fucking lazy????????????

if you need this you are a fat fucking lazy heap of fucking human trash. period. good god this world is ending. idiocracy will be proven true.

  • this is supposed to be a joke, right?....

  • well i guess that kinda gets people off their asses.....now they just need a treadmill that powers a tv...where the t.v. turns off if u stop movin...lol

  • This is brilliant. The only thing that would make it better is if you could transfer the movement into powering the computer.

  • an automatic walking machine? holy hell!!!

  • The end of society.

Trying to shove more things together to get more done. Not a good thing.

  • Well, it's a novel idea but I would hope whoever had this would also have their own office because the sound of her footsteps is annoying.

  • exactly what i was thinking

and isnt it kinda hard to think while trying to look at a screen while going up an down with that annoying noise?

  • she seems nice, but the idea is dumb.

  • that is the dumbest idea ever! it is just a fucking treadmill in front of a desk

  • very, very interesting. :)

  • thats retarded..

  • no thanks

  • zorba the greek. lol. she must be old. but that was quite a nice reference. much appreciated.

  • umm..:S i dont like it lol
