@GamingRootz As we speak I am playing music out of the speakers through my Windows Phone. The sound is exceptional. The lows are rich and the mids and highs are clear.

I have these speakers..my two front satelites work fine, just as does the front center(when I turn the matrix mode), but my two other rear speakers, they don't play all of the sounds...like..they somethimes just play a guitar, or a certain mixer of the song file I play..is that noramal?..are they suposto play all the sounds just like my three front speakers or just some specfic sounds?

@BlackHawkPGA That is odd. Usually music just plays through the left and right channels because music is stereo. I would make sure you have all the cables plugged in correctly and that your computer is configured correctly under "Playback Devices" in your control panel. Also check if Matrix mode is on or off. I have never heard of this issue, so I may suggest contacting Logitech or your PC manufacturer for help. Thanks.

@BlackHawkPGA No they are not. At a 5.1 surround they are suppose to pick up movements behind you try it with a movie or a game you will hear the speakers working. So most of the sound comes from the front speakers. Another example is imagine in a game where you are surrounded and enemies are all around you you may see your enemies and hear the ones in front of you and if you don't its the ones behind you when you turn around hense 5.1 surround.

I have Realtek High Definition Audio sound card, and I thik it's 2 channel sound card, in the back i have 3 jack, green, blue and red...as you may know x540 has 3 jacks, green, orange and black, so I just pluged the green one in the green jack on my sound card, leaving the other 2 jacks unpluged...so I thought that may be the problem...

Btw doesnt really work on Laptops cause it has 3 inputs for REAL 5.1 sound, that only desktops have. One port for subwoofer, one for front/center, and one for rear

@Tommy29x If your tv has a standard stereo out jack (to output sound coming in from HDMI) or uses "white and red" audio cables then yes the speakers will work.

@maximum512 Last time I make this comment... Matrix mode will not and does not make your stereo sound into 5.1 surround sound. It simply spreads the sound out slightly to the other speakers (which also diminishes the bass btw).

i have these speakers and they're pretty poor and not recommended if you really want true surround sound. Maybe if you strictly watch dvds with 5.1 sound but even then the rear speakers really blow.

@krismosel Well i dont have these speakers, but in general, all speakers that have a mounting possiblity for the wall usually gave a little hole, now you put a nail on the wall and then you kind stick the hole in the nail! @albvini Awesome! You will love these speakers! When you get your speakers just plugging in the green cable and hitting "Matrix Mode" on the controller will simulate a wrap around surround sound experience. Or you can try buying an external sound card with surround sound support.

@GeeakFreeak In a sense I agree, but the fact is you can still tell the difference at least if the system is decent or poor. Also you do get a good idea of how the bass sounds. Lastly you get a good hardware overview of what is included with the speakers and what they look like.

@skateorrock22 A subwoofer is a non directional speaker that can theoretically be placed anywhere. The most common place to put the subwoofer is on the floor as it is out of the way and also will not shake the desk if you have the bass up high.

I have transported the speakers twice to my school for events. Everyone loves them and they are not very hard to carry in the box they come in.You also don't need to bring all channels if you don't want to. You can use technically just the two stereo speakers and the sub woofer.
