actually, the rocky statue was never inside the museum. It was located outside near the entrance of the Spectrum.

It was. But now it's in the front of the museum.

@msk7046 basicaly, because it was considered a "TACKY PIECE OF MOVIE PROP", not a true bronze statue located at the entrance of one of the top museums of the world. plus too many people damaging those stairs, which cause damage to the soft sandstone/limestone.
