I grew up watching these shows they are what have gave me the passion to become a medic myself. there's nothing like saving a life its a great feeling but it comes with its cost.
the boy at the end "my mama says thank god for noisy people" perfect example of "kids never listen but hear everything and repeat word for word exactly what you shouldn't have said"! we recently had a similar case here, mom left 2 yr old in the car while she ran inside the house to get her friend, car got stolen and the baby was found wandering in the street a mile away - point in case never leave kids alone in the car. yeah yeah busy parents yada yada yada, I have 5 kids ages 9-6, I know busy.
Whenever I pump gas, no matter how close I park to the station I always take BOTH my kids in with me when I pay. They are 4 and 2. I would never leave them in the car keys in it or not!
thats great... you dont wanna learn the hard way! u have to remember... these vid are like over 10 yrs old, so back then it wasnt as scary as it is now.... or so ppl thought!
Well dont leave the kid in the car, im not blaming the mom for it, but you dont leave a kid in a car, especially if its running, i think doing that is illegal now.
@therandasho you are right. never leave anything in the car especially your keys. eveyrtime i leave my car i turn off my motor & take my keys. a couple of times punks approached my car & tried to do something. as you can see this mom made a terrible error. if this was in New York she would have been arrested.
if i was a cop and that was my child that i found there i would find him and pepper spray my entire thing of pepper spray out in his eyes but im a kid i wasnt alive when this happened
Where does it say he tossed the baby out of the car? The recreation makes it look as though he clearly stopped the car, placed the baby in the ditch, and drove off. Even though he's a lowlife shit for stealing a car, he clearly had no idea a baby was inside, and it wasn't his intent to kidnap the child. This ending could have been much worse, and even though the guy probably just realized that if he was caught, the charges against him would be MUCH more severe than merely car theft, so
he knew he needed to get rid of the baby, he could have decided to just kill the child, or give it to someone else to dispose of - to me, it almost seems like maybe he tried to make sure someone found the baby. He would know police were looking for him, and he took off with this stolen car in plain daylight - stopping would be really stupid to do from his point of view, yet for whatever reason he decided to pull over, get out of the car (a huge risk because he could be identified and caught),
and to me it seems like he might have actually been waiting for someone to drive by before taking off again, to be sure the baby would be safely found. There's no excuse for his theft, but not all criminals are the sick, twisted psychopaths that would kidnap a child and hurt, molest or even kill them. I'm so glad this baby safely found her way home, and that wonderful couple were "nosy" enough to find her.
You have changed my life completely! I have never felt addiction like I have when I watch all of your shows. Everyone is all emotional when they see these things on here but I get a feeling that I absolutly in love with! Thank you so much!
good thing is that the baby wasnt hurt at all.. that kidnapper could of kiled the baby but he decided to put it outside whihc is still dangerouse if no one had found her.. but the old ppl saved the baby
she was just gonna be gone for 2 seconds. i wouldn't do that if i had a child but still. she probably wasn't really thinkin since she was gonna be back. it's not like she's takin after that lady that left her baby in a hot car while she was in a bar gettin drunk.
Yes, but busy parents are always on the brink of insanity, believe my words. Sometimes even parents acts human and screw up, and yes, sometimes the consequenses might be grim. But if all screw-ups parents ever did was fatal, there wouldn't be many people living in the world.
if you have 2 children that aren't old enough to go in and pay for the gas let alone pump it while u are in the car then you need to go to a full service station.. Or take the keys out of the damn car and crack a window, it doesn't take that long to sign your name uless u are for perfection.
there is simply an excuse for a mother not wanting to take a baby out of a nice airconditioned car just to sign a slip of paper return to the car put the baby back in and all it is easier on both mother and baby for the baby to remain inside the car
Some people try a lot to make sure they will never have anything happen to their kids. They make sure everything is protected. They never let them go outside slone. They seal off ALL of the knifes and scissors. They watch their kids every second of the day. Those kind of people are the people who have things like this happen to them. They block everything off and then the simplest thing like choking on food will kill or seriously injure their kids. I think this statement is completely true.
no one is perfect and everyone thinks it can't happen to them, think people, a moments thought can save a lot of grief later. and it wasn't a lottery ticket it was a credit card slip
I was 2 years old when this happened. Anyways, unfortunately parents have not learned that it's dangerous to leave their babies in a car alone up to this day, how sad!!!
Stupid Mother, I Wished That Someone Would Smack The Heck Out Of Her, Acting Hystical, And That Lil Boy was with her, She Shouldn't Have Acted Hystical In Front Of Him. If I Was Her And I Had A Baby Boy Or Girl, I Would Take The Car Keys And I Would Take My Purse, And I Would Lock My Car Doors And I Would Unlock The doors of my car and drove off.
thank god we have amber alerts today. in Pennsylvania, where we have road work EVERYWHERE, an amber alert would be a big help. provided people gave a shit and actually read it and kept an eye out. people then were a lot more caring than people today.
Yea whats changing that people are becoming so vicious and isolated from everything..everyone seems to focused on themselves to notice whats going on around them these days.
Yeah, my mom used to let my brother and I stay in the car when she went into stores, but she took the keys with her. Also, we lived in a pretty small town where stuff like this was virtually unheard of.
Back when this happened, in 1987, there were no laws against leaving your child in a car by themselves. Not to mention, for her to take the baby out of the car to bring her inside would have taken longer than just to run in and pay. That sounds bad, but it's true.
The only thing this mother did wrong was leave the keys in the car along with the baby. But, in most accident cases, hinsight is always 20/20.
the car thief probably didnt even know there was a child in the back seat until she started to cry then the thief ditched the kid all he really wanted was the car.
there was a reason for those couple to be driving down the road and finding the baby. thank god for them. the story would have a different ending if they didnt find that baby. god put those couple there for a reason to play the part in finding the baby
here's the reason missy was dropped at the side of the road and logical, she was crying and annoyed the driver,so the driver drops her at the side of the road.
Her aqua blue shorts has two side pockets, she should put the keys in one shorts pocket, put the wallet in the other shorts pocket and carry the baby and her son inside. Do not leave the car keys in the car!
like i am only 12 so i dont have any kids but i have a 2 year old brothere and he is like my world! if he ever got kid napped i dont know wut i would do♥
gas was 1.35 back then right now where i live at its 1.95 on the kansas side but not sure what it is on the missouri side where we usually get gas at there is a gas station owner that gets made that everyone goes across the bridge into missouri to get gas and tobacco if he lowered his prices people would get gas there
So, So, So, So, sad!; To see a Chevy Celebrity in its Livery to be driven like a normal car "instead" of bashed and trashed like all the ones I have seen on This Tube!
Everyone makes mistakes. At the same time, you really have to wonder what happened to common sense and responsibility. That mom really should have taken her baby inside with her. I mean, it's damn good those elderly people found the child. Who knows what could have happened?
when i was a little baby and my brother was about 2..my mom went in to pay for her gas and left me and my bro in the car...with the keys and everything and my dad drove by and saw us so he took the car and hid it behind the gas station and my mom was very scared...but then found my dad laughing at her when she saw us...my dad said he was just teaching her a lesson...which that was a very mean i think...but it was a lesson learned also..
yeah and i feel bad about it but...i agree with both sides...lol...but yes that is very true that everyone makes mistakes..she never did it ever again once my dad did that...
I cant ever imagine having to go through that seeing someone actually steal my car knowing that my baby was right inside I would have a nervous breakdown for sure
i remember watching this when it came out. now i always take my kids with me. even if im parked outside my friends house just to run up to the door and then come back
Well she had the keys in the ignition so the air conditioner would be on.
You're saying she should have locked her baby in the car with no a/c? Smart.
But I'm not saying it was exactly right to leave the baby in there in the first place. But she admitted that at the end, so I'm not going to sit here and give her grief about that.
Now I know what Denise did wasn't the most intelligent thing to do, but let's not curse her out. She admitted near the end of the segment that she was wrong and that she hoped someone else who was probably watching would learn from her mistake, so let's just leave it at that, okay?
Hey Man, It was the late 80's, gas was approximatelly 77 Cents a gallon,, "Regular" meant "LEADED" AS IN POLLUTION LOW OCTAINE LEAD IN GASS, The Chevy Celebrity was a nice plush, attractive, and fuel efficient ride for the era; Chevy's Honda Cevic/Accordish, and Americans were probably more naive and worried that they and their children would be destroyed in WWIII!
I hate how crazy mom's get when their kids are in danger. The dad's aren't usually that bad but my god. When I'm trying to work on a kid to save his life and there's a mom screamin at me about their baby (whatever age they are) I honestly just want to turn around and yell at them to shut the f*ck up. It's extremely distracting and it makes it a lot harder to do my job. You want you kid to get the best of care, distracting the rescuer is not the way to make sure that your kid has the best.
To the one who stole the car with that baby girl inside, why wasn't that person arrested? Because not only did that person kidnap that baby girl, that person also commited grand theft auto.
@BigMouthCaterpillar Which, incidentally, starred William Shatner.

she had to leave it unlocked, the dumb chick turned the car on.
rlslbt 3 years ago
Did that car not have an airbag? You don't put infants in the front seat if there is an airbag.
Hildron101010 3 years ago
Probably not in 1987. I was a kid in the 90's, and I don't remember the airbag thing becoming an issue until around 1994 or '95.

AshtonLover7806 3 years ago 2
I agree. That was kind of mean, but it gave her something important to think about.
allgood2000 3 years ago
yeah and i feel bad about it but...i agree with both sides...lol...but yes that is very true that everyone makes mistakes..she never did it ever again once my dad did that...
AshtonLover7806 3 years ago
It wasn't mean at all.
It was a lesson that your father taught to your mother about common sense.

UntoldCatamount 3 years ago 3
I was born in 1987. Somewhere around 1990 through 1993 I remember seeing $0.89 for gasoline.
Chevy57l 3 years ago
yeah, you see really old commercials where they hand the guy five dollars and he fills the tank and washes your car for you.

you have to remember this was in much safer times, before crack and meth and people could leave cars and houses unlocked.
ASSEMblerEX 3 years ago
Should have locked the door!
amnistic45 3 years ago
Well she had the keys in the ignition so the air conditioner would be on.
You're saying she should have locked her baby in the car with no a/c? Smart.
But I'm not saying it was exactly right to leave the baby in there in the first place. But she admitted that at the end, so I'm not going to sit here and give her grief about that.
xMissCreant 3 years ago
she should have taken the baby with her inside, damn strait ,it would take longer but at what cost ,what cost

Now I know what Denise did wasn't the most intelligent thing to do, but let's not curse her out. She admitted near the end of the segment that she was wrong and that she hoped someone else who was probably watching would learn from her mistake, so let's just leave it at that, okay?

did they ever get the car back?

that car is garbage now. lol i do wonder if they got it back

OneSkiWonder 3 years ago
You Dumn ass mother why did you leave ur kid in a car That kid is going to blame you lol
Zombiegirl2007 3 years ago
To the one who stole the car with that baby girl inside, why wasn't that person arrested? Because not only did that person kidnap that baby girl, that person also commited grand theft auto.
