It is hard to put into words what I think of this attempt to flip the skitter back on it wheels. lol Anyone who has driven one of these things has seen pleanty of the things on their lid. It is one of the most common logging equipment accidents for sure.
haha is that a 518 it looks the same as the one I rolled 2nd day on the job we righted it let the oil settle and all the boss said was welcome to the club.
Most people who drive skidders for a living for any length of time will roll one over. It's no big deal. It happens. I've never rolled a skidder over, but I have rollded a Morbark feller buncher over. I was by myself. I got the skidder, winched it upright. Took lunch to let the oil settle to where it belongs and kept using the machine less than an hour later. Forestry equipment is designed to withstand this kind of stuff because this is the normal course of the logging business.
when I was running skidder my boss dident figure I was running it hard enough if i did not put the sucker on its side every few months lol the first few times you will shitt your pants then after that it aint no thing
Well we tried not to roll ours over only because it was the only skidder we had, or any other large enough machine to upright a skidder for that matter. It would have been to much work and time lost (and ultimately money) to upright it by bringing an excavator in or something. We also took pride in having a skidder with 2500 hours (my boss retired and then sold it at that point) that still had perfect glass and good enough paint to make it really shine with wax when we were slow.
The way my boss saw it was slow down a little bit, don't do anything stupid and that little bit of time lost will pay for itself in the long run by not screwing around fixing stuff. I thought it was good policy. Me and my coworker could do a job with a TJ 360 and a BrushBandit 1900 just as fast as my bosses friends could with their 460's, Morbark 23 (If I recall correctly), and a tracked bandit 1400 all on the same site. We had whole lot less repairs too. I thought we did good.
GEEEESH calm down Tom. It's just a video. It's not like you have to take it on yourself, personally or something. I would hate cross your path if you fly off the handle this easily.
Shit bag...fuck you in english...fucking weirdo...this is the problem with this country...bunch of god damn non working assholes...just like these idiots in this video...total non mechanical losers..lapoot yourself asshole.Tom Byrd
You need some medical help. Wow you seriously are in need of some non-english medical head doctors. Maybe Tom it would be good if you enjoy the vid and be less like a psycho?

Hey you American!! That was my papa in that... He hurt himself badly - He cries everyday as he sees his taxidermied leg on the mantel - he mourns his leg... shame on you! LAPOOT!
no a sand field is where a dredger off shore pumps up to 10,000 cubic meters of sand an hour! 24 hours a day..on to the shore very busy very dangerous very stupid/inexperienced operators.. if lucky they just kill them selves by disappearing into lagoons or the pumping hole from the out let pipe-instant death, or driving over vehicles, or getting squashed by sleeping in stupid places-in buckets or under machines, carrying objects with chains that are to long and destroying anything they go near!
Wow that's some info that they passed up on the Modern Marvels segment out there... I'd love to see the powerplants that run those pumps. Largest I've been around is a 950KW with a 3508 Cat power unit.
Yea they are a bit bigger than that those..lol, the (JFJ Jan De Nul), is a cutter dredger that uses 125,000 litres of diesel A DAY, the cutter head is 8000 HP, im sure you will be able to get the exact specs off the internet, i hope i never the big ugly bastard ever again..

I don't know what to say. This was the worst attept at extracting a machine I have ever seen. Would've been better not to post the video...

if you think that the worst you have ever seen then i doubt you have ever worked with sand niggers in the middle east!
datssumfunnyshit 3 years ago 2
I don't know if it could be worse there. What would they do? Use a shovel at the bottom of a dune?
