It's a very English insult. It's basically another word for "slut". The Deirdre in question was (and still is) a main character in the long-running soap "Coronation Street". At the time she was having an affair with one character whilst married to another, hence the title. This was hilarious when it came out - still good for a laugh for those of us old enough to remember

luckily i'm finding all the cds of the toy dolls to replace my scratched vinyl from my teenage days and the mad days of pogoing around the house. it shows how popular they are when their cds are so easily available. the best export from sunderland, can anyone else remember the days of the old 29?

It was an absolute honour to be in a band that supported the Toy Dolls when they came to play at The Porterhouse in Retford around the mid 80s.

Never seen as much talent and tightness in playing as these guys.

Shame there isn't much live concert DVDs out there.

@raymondlang saw em in june 83 at brannighans in leeds. never seen a band as tight as this. what a fukkin performance. Could nt get over the tiny drum kit and he played 'like two jack rabbits fukkin', to use a quote from that film with mickey rouke. They were supported by major accident who were pretty good. TD's came back in sept. was packed and again, wot a show. By the way, 28 years ago 2 morra, got to see clash at st georges hall. got ortograffs afta on ticket, but mum lata chucked it!!
