  • I've been tracking my income and expenses since I was a child. By the way, do you eat out every day? What if you could cook your food somewhere? Might cut down your expenses tremendously.

  • @Sumfera I was cooking most of my own food, but lately I've been experimenting with eating out more. I may actually save money doing that because it cuts down on time spent buying groceries and preparing meals. For example, if spending $10 eating out for lunch frees up 30 minutes of my time that I can then use to work and earn $20, it's worth it.

  • @ndoherty13 Yes, but then your $10 lunch that you eat out must last you as long as the one you cook yourself, as well as be as healthy as the one you cook yourself. Those 30 minutes you free up, will you spend them earning money?

When I eat out, I get hungry as soon as I step out through the door. In fact, I'm hungry right now.

  • Hello Niall! I am really enjoying your website! As for money, this year I learned it is possible to keep it simple and travel and visit Europe as an American with virtually no money. I have been doing trade for room and board here in Northern Germany, and other places in Europe ... housesitting, visiting friends, and the website helpx.net. So money and I... yeah, we still have some negotiating to do in this life. But this year, I have traveled in Europe and spent very little money.

  • @nancieteresa Thanks for the comment, Nancie! I'm guessing you'd like the latest post from my buddy Benjamin Jenks. Check his site called Adventure Sauce

  • Adventure sauce?... interesting!... I will check it out!
