Some very nice elements in this piece. Nice intonation as well. Just a more solid sound would be good and help this particular piece in particular. Don't be too afraid to really dig into those strings, and then later refine the sound.

I'm not a violin expert. I just listen to them. Hilary Hahn has some free advice. She plays with a beautifuly singing vibrato, almost always. There are times when I think she shouldn't use it so much. Her Paganiniana is excellent.

I am only referring you to her because she is much more in tune than I am on what you need. You sound quite accomplished. Is this supposed to be played straight without vibrato... or did the teacher require it this way?

nice and good in general, suggest to develop a faster vibrato, looser wrist at the frog, and also loose your knee and flexible lower body,.for more sound production i would use a bit more arm weight from middle to frog in the V bowing. also more use of fingers of right hand when pivoting at the lower half. Hello, it is hard to comment on this other than to say that it is excellant music.

The presentation appears to be a plus in this day and age. There is a minority of which I am one that believe women should wear dresses. I believe that bringing out the melody comes first, and I do hear the melody played well here. I appreciate the long hair also.

Overall, the sound was magnificent! and the notes were very in tune! I just have one question: Is this played at performance tempo or is a little under tempo?

I have heard this piece before when I accompanied my friend on this piece. It just seems to be a little slow. I don't want you to take offense to that. It was a great performance.

Very good. Try varying vibrato, dynamics, and bow speed to express more clearly your intent. Also, slow practice your double-stops and and don't forget to vib. on these as well. Keep your wrist loose on bow changes especially on lyrical passages. Take your time with rubato opportunities in general. Thanks for sharing.

Dear Charlotte,

Thank you for sharing this with me. I have always enjoyed De Beriot's work. His use of Double Stops, Sympathetic Harmonic Overtones, Low registers on the D and G Strings gives his music a fuller sound. I studied these Double stop techniques when I was in college studying music performance Good Job - beautiful intonation!!
