As Children acting in films,Busgy Malone has some of the greatest child acting ever brought to the screen.

The fact that these Kids are acting Adult is why the film works.

Of course you can STILL SEE the childhood innocence still there.

IF you could not see this childhood innocence,this film just would not work.

It just would be too disturbing.

The music is it's real saving grace.

The feel of 1920's/30's music expression is incredible.

Not just by the way it sounds but also recorded.

No need to fell bad about watching this. Granted back when this was made, it was not looked upon badly, just like back then you could mix boys and girls, take pictures and videos of your kids and leave your front door open. The dancing in this song is far more reserved that say a 12 year old on a dance competition program with hardly anything on re-enacting Bey once. A fantastic film and a great song. Good name making performance by Jodie.
