he is also an Atheist whom won't accept the label, because he assumes that belief and knowladge are exclusive questions.

An Atheist who is rational, is an agnostic by default, the same is true for those who are more attracted by the agnostic label, however, they are not taut with each other, Lacking knowledge, means I like belief, but thats only because I am fully rational.
