Fluidity.... the only time he has any of that is on fast break dunks. He's a terrible shooter, has no post game and can't dribble. And gets faked out of his shoes on defense.
Bulls will be stupid not to resign him. Not many PF's have his fluidity and rare production in certain areas. Forget a low-post scorer. Keep improving T-Time.
I remember when Reggie said that. Realistic thats almost impossible to do over a 82 game season. but i do understand Reggies point. People praise his defense but he actually is a very poor one on one defender. He is an excellant help side defender though. Offensivly Tyrus needs to improve his ball handling. Once he can do that he'll be able to create offensive oppurtunities for himslef more consistanltly.
Tyrus Thomas needs to acquire that mid-range jumper and become a difference maker on the offensive end. He already is a difference maker on the defensive end but he has to keep most of them block shots' inbound. Last thing is his decision making, it's imperative he improve that aspect. It seems like every time he drives, the opponent makes him go in one direction and once he lifts up, it's either a slam or a turnover. No doubt, the dude isn't far away from being Derrick Rose's second-hand-man.
I really hope Tyrus stays in a Bulls jersey. He has the size, athleticism, range and he just needs to work on being a better decision maker. He definitely has a higher ceiling than LaMarcus Aldridge and hopefully TNT works hard enough to not make that 2006 draft night trade look like a steal
it up to tyrus to make that draft work out for the bulls.
they already gave up on thaboo
tyrus will defintly get every oppurtunity to keep his starting spot and stay in a bulls unifor,.
they need him to rebound and play defense every night. let the offense come to him rather than him trying to create. thats when tyrus gets himself in trouble is twen he is tryin to create
its a shame because Tyrus has so much athletic talent that you can' t teach but he does not know how to harness it. He also has no true postion in the NBA which is the problem with alot of talent these days. He can't play the 3 because he doesn't have the ball handling ablity to create any kinda shot for himself but struggles to play the 4 because he isn't strong enough to compete night n night out with NBA big man. To me, Tyrus is better at 4 cuz of his athleticsm and shot blocking.
I wouldn't question Tyrus work ethic. He actually works very hard and has put in more than the required practice time with the Bulls both in the off season and regular season. But your right bout his mindset. Sometimes he will lose focus on the court and almost seem lost. To me that is a sign of a guy who doesn't fully understand what he brings to his team. Meaning he is still struggling to find his role with the bulls.
He doesn't have a range... He has one of the worst mid range percentages in the league. Aldridge is already a way better player then him. I don't care about ceiling, Aldridge can hit the 15 footer consistently and has good enough post moves to score.
if the bulls wana make the bulls playoffs next year... this guy really needs to step up. he obviously has the ablity... he needs consistency n understand his strengths that even if he isnt scoring he needs to rebound n play d night in n night out n let his scoring come within the offense
i think it's good that ben is gone. he wasn't very good at dribbling, he gave up a lot of turnovers. he took really random wild shots at times. he's great when the clock is almost out though. but taking wild shots when there's still a lot of time in the game didn't make sense. he's really good though don't get me wrong. good luck to him on icky detroit. :)
thomas has developed his game and obvious he can block shots and run the floor. Ben leaving is great cause he was a wild shot and the most overated 20 point guy. I expect thomas and johnson to blend and taj looks like a bench player until he gets more of an offensive attack
he is not already signed... players can't be officially signed till july 8th. he just made the commitment to go there. just like turkoglu did with portland hence when he backed out, he made a verbal commitment with the raps.
true you are correct man but AI isnt coming i read the reprot too and detorit kind of said no already plus I dont think Bulls would do it...hes really a PG we dont need PG trust me it wont ha[ppen brother.
well ya i dnt think it will happen either but anything is possible these days... and he would prolly play sg on the bulls if there no way the bulls move derrick rose to the bench or the SG spot.
I would rather have BG walk then having him on the team why? We have salary flexibility without paying him now, we dont have to worry about his defense woes, and we dont have to worry about him shooting terrible shots and taking the Bulls out of an offensive rythem. BTW, YES, BG CAN SCORE, but he gives up more points then he scores.
bosh is NOT going to chicago. he has fully expressed that he wants to go to miami. he said it himself. the raps and heat are currently in some talks of trading bosh this season or sign/trade next season to miami. so that pretty much erases the notion that wade or bosh will play in chicago because they won't. Amare said he loves new york and would love to play there. so tell me, are you so sure that any of em will go to chicago? well you are SADLY mistaken... lmao.
losing ben is a big lost offensively but in the long run it was for the best all i got to say is if they don't get wade or lebron or chris bosh this team will have a huge set back and tyrus thomas sucks he can't shoot consistently and Luol deng keeps getting hurt so i don't know if this team can seriously be a contender
Stupid Bulls. A Gordon / Rose back court was ideal. We still needed a bigman, but we were on the cusp of creating something special. Typical. We pick up Rose, then lose Gordon. One step forward, one step back. Rose is not going to have anyone to kick it to off the penetration. This blows!
in 2010, the bulls are not going to get bosh, wade or lebron. amare at his position plays worse defense than gordon does at his position. so tell me, who the hell would be a team saver for yall in the 2010 draft? boozer? yao ming? steve nash? bulls aint winnin shit the next 6 yrs not resigning your leading scorer pretty much eliminates you from the conversation.
tyrus and luol REALLY need to step it up this year. If they prove to be solid and Noah continues to improve, we are a D-Wade away from being a serious contender!
MrJeckel, stfu. i don't care if bg left. the Bulls needed his offence against the Cs. but he could'nt guard for shit. now the Bulls will have enough money for 2010. and no, i don't think lebron is going to the knicks. he wants a ring more than popularity.
tell me with a str8 face that the bulls would have even won 1 game vs the celtics without gordon... bulls would not have won even once without him and you know it. btw, what kind of high profile free agent will want to sign with the bulls when they aint even gonna make playoffs nxt yr? Lebron will rather sign with a contender in cleveland than the bulls. bosh wants to go to miami and if he does wade aint leaving miami. so tell me, do you in your right mind think STOUDEMIRE is a winner? lmao.
Dude, Gordon pretty much lost as many games as he won, he shoots the Bulls out of the offense. I am glad hes gone. He is offensive minded, hes a terrible defensive player, terrible dribbler, terrible passer, for fuck sake he didnt even guard Ray Allen in game 6 when RAY RAY dropped 51.
i can already tell that you don't know basketball. gordon was torched by ray in game 6 but guess what? they WON the game. gordon torched ray more than vice versa. the bulls lost the series because noah and thomas were battered in the inside. they were basically raped by rondo's drives, perkins posts and davis' way to get to the basket. thats why they lost. the bulls perimeter was more than enough to win. the bulls inside was more than enough to LOSE.
Do me a favor and look at the stats again....Every great game Gordon had WE LOST because either a) bad defense b) took too many shots and took the bulls out of an offensive rythem. Now look at the games where we won....Every game we won, Rose had an incredible game (Points/rebounds/Assists including key block in game 6) Game 1, 4, and 6. And guess what, we won Game 6 despite Gordon having a SHITTY GAME, and Salmons torching the Celtics.
bg leaving is best for both team and him, we wont miss his shooting because we wont have to rely on his shooting to make up for his lack of D. i dont think they fans should boo bg when he comes, but it is chicago so theres a good chance it will happen haha. cant wait to see the bulls next year.
i like bg, and i know we wouldnt have stayed in that series without him, but the bulls can be alot better without gordon because even tho he averaged 20 pts he played hardly any D, when they put a guy in bg's place who can play D and put up some points the team will overall be better because they have a guy who can do both D and O, not just O, and they wont have to rely on bg's offense to win the game because they have defense.
Oh No we dont have ben gordon anymore who do we have!!! D.Rose John Salmons Tyrus Thomas Luol Deng Joakim Noah Brad Miller Tim Thomas Kirk Hinrich Im So SCared NOT!! Plus Taj Gibson and james Johnson are two flat out ballas We have
lmao.. thomas, noah, miller, tim thomas all suck compared to other 4-5 in the league, salmons is not the player gordon is, luol is obviously overrated and hinrich will not be in a bulls uniform... sorry but only d-rose and salmons are good in that group. btw, taj is a clone thomas and james johnson is 3yrs away from being an impact player. say goodbye to the playoffs bulls. look on the bright side. john wall is in next years draft :)
U r all wrong. I believe luol deng gone prove to ppl that he a great player. Noah has tookin that next step after bulls celtics series. Thomas is working hard on his game. Kirk hinrich is a great defensive player. Watch the bulls gone surprise alot of ppl wit out gordon. Gordon is not a huge loss they barely made the playoffs with him.
The Bulls lost wit gordon and won wit gordon.when gordon was playin they missed the playoffs a year when everyone expected them to have a great season. The whole team played great in the playoffs. It takes a team to win. Kobe is great but at the end of the day he still gon need his team to win. U ppl r overreacting to dis shit.
problem with hinrich tho is he makes 2 good plays and then he blows it completely like the ray allen game winner he sagged off the pick like he was gona drive and he hit the game winner
