One is 3d and one is 2d. Just remember that 2d is more of a timeless form of gaming format while 3D usually dates out over time so it requires a lot of graphic updates. The RS shown in this video has the old graphic. MapleStory has pretty much the same graphic as of now except for new map designs and such.
Imo the new MapleStory BigBang update is BS. I haven't played Runescape for a long, long time now. But I hope RuneScape is still keeping it real right now as it was since 2008 at least...

Rune Scape is more PVP based and MS is more social and a grinding/dmg addicting game.. they poth have certain skills that keep you playing etc. personally MapleStory is better and it doesn't get boring, Nexon is great at keeping people playing.

I am lvl 64 in Runescape, you can do more things, and alot of quests. The map is bigger, you don't need to download stuff to play it, those are the good things about RS.

Runescape is probably more aware of account safety because they have the Stronghold of Security and Safety. But noobs are what make the game fun because whenever you're not a noob anymore, you can show off all you want.
In Maplestory, you can't report for item scamming. To people who say there are too many noobs, who cares? Everyone used to be a noob. Both games have hackers. I remember when there were fly hackers in Mapelstory. And people who made the Moon Bunny invincible in the Henesys PQ.
This is probably the only game comparison where he shows the really fun game-play, good job! Runescape isn't that bad and Maplestory isn't that bad either. And to mazedragon, both games require some real money to do certain stuff. NX isn't free and neither is membership on Runescape.

Maplestory is so much more updated than it use to be...maplestory started out as 5 jobs now it has 20 and at lv 30 u get 1-3 choices on your 2nd job adnace and crap making it like around 40 different jobs very very fun and addicting. runescape was my first mmo and i liked it alot but i grew out of it around lv 70 and started play ms before it was very updated and i already liked ms more than rune...exsept geting to lv 10 gay as hell it ruins what people think of the game...but god i love maple

Like for example right now people are try to solo the boss NEX. Also there are many minigames that you can play that involve co-op. In my opinion i perfer Runescape more even though i play both.
Both Gayplestory and Cumscape are abysmal pieces of shit, with the latter being slightly better. At least Runescape has more interesting content to complete rather than grinding and killing 100,000 monsters in order to get to lvl 105

So that makes the challenge for me to defeat the boss or offord the armor it drops.Also members are can play the first Runescape classic. And just like any game Runescaoe charges a fee to keep the game and the bussiness running.

In Runescape, bots are a problem, Runescape wasn't that bad in 2007-2011.
Runescape is probably more aware of account safety because they have the Stronghold of Security and Safety. But noobs are what make the game fun because whenever you're not a noob anymore, you can show off all you want.

Maplestory is so much more updated than it use to be...maplestory started out as 5 jobs now it has 20 and at lv 30 u get 1-3 choices on your 2nd job adnace and crap making it like around 40 different jobs very very fun and addicting. runescape was my first mmo and i liked it alot but i grew out of it around lv 70 and started play ms before it was very updated and i already liked ms more than rune...exsept geting to lv 10 gay as hell it ruins what people think of the game...but god i love maple

@SqueakesProductions But the fun part is that you can be all jobs at one and risk it with other players. So its like a gamble. Plus the challenge of Runescape really doesnt end. Like for example right now people are try to solo the boss NEX. Also there are many minigames that you can play that involve co-op. In my opinion i perfer Runescape more even though i play both.

So that makes the challenge for me to defeat the boss or offord the armor it drops.Also members are can play the first Runescape classic. And just like any game Runescaoe charges a fee to keep the game and the bussiness running.
