it's harmonics. Technically, each guitar string will make the same harmonic every 4 frets i think? A good mirror example would be Satch doing his high up the string pinch harmonics without fretting and dumping the bar, as compared to the dump the bar, fret, flick harmonics that Dimebag used on the first 3 frets (and the same note comes out). Harmonics is a perfect prism. Balanced, reacurring and round. String length divided. It's really hard to explain. Overtones..... Love'em

He is one of my faves for sure. I am just really getting into his style and music ( I know, where the fuck have I been!) and don't know alot about the person. He looks kind of...I don't know...kinda sick. Dark rings around his eyes, the shaved head. I am in no way dissing him, and it makes no difference, but he looks like my best friend when he was receiving chemo therapy. Or, it maybe nothing but natural aging.

Anyone know for sure? This guy is out of this world! I love his style.

@mrman999 He uses something called a double-locking whammy bar. What that means, is that the guitar stays in tune no matter how much he uses the whammy bar. The one he's using on that guitar is recessed (able to be pulled up on as well as pushed down on). Recessed whammy bars allow a person to do something called "fluttering" (he does this at 2:41-2:45). A few other guitar players that use those kinds of techniques are Dimebag Darrell from Pantera, Steve Vai, and Paul Gilbert.

@mrman999 As for the sounds you were talking about at 2:11-2:13, he's just pushing down the bar and sliding his finger up the fretboard to get a strange sound. Almost like it's "stuck" (the note doesn't change even though he's pressing the bar)

You may need to tighten or loosen the bar itself, or the bridge may have fallen out of position.

yeah it is not a floating bridge, so in the end it does not bring up the tune of the guitar so you cannot do these things in the video. I would suggest looking into getting a guitar with a floyd rose. look it up. Tell me your feedback
