Yes, the Kodak line works with Apple really well. IN fact, it shoots in a MOV format, which is actually used mainly by apple. If you're running a mac, then Kodak is your friend.

no question the Kodak Zi8

Zi8- better video, take stills, about 10x more features than the Flip Mino, take video in full 1080p and 720p and also regular defintion video and image stablelization also you could actually to close up on things. Bigger screen. You could plug in your own microphone.

Comes whith the wall charger, HDMI, and so much more stuff Flip doesnt come in

The only thing that Flip wins in is it weights 2oz less.

Zi8. It has the better quality, picture quality, sound quality, and all in all better quality. It's a little over-priced (my opinion), but I still think it's a great buy.

In my opinion both cameras are pretty expensive and not exactly the best on the market. If you really have to choose between one of the cameras I would choose the Zi8 because the Flip MinoHD is just terrible with quality compared to newer cameras these days, plus the price tag on it. The best camera in my opinon would be the Creative Vado HD (2ND Gen) or the Sony Webbie PM1, both are pretty cheap and are alot better quality than the MinoHD and Zi8. Hope I could help.

keep in mind that the program you use to import videos, as well as even the SD card you use effect the quality of a video. And why would anyone want to record at 720P 60fps? Don't you know all professional movies are rendered at 24fps?

that must be tripod. Handheald, no matter how hard you try, will still show movement.

have you noticed video "rippling" in 1080P when physically moving the camera by hand, that doesn't show up in 720P @ either 30FPS or 60FPS?

thats the reason I found the 1080P unusable on anything but still footage, and there doesn't seem to be any benefit once downgraded back to youtube's 720P high definition.  *shrugs*
