Amazing! This lady knows how to drive, especially on the track. I credit BMW for making all their cars rear wheel drive; rear drive works the best. Sabine definitely knows how to drive; I'm sure that she's got stories about other vehicles she's driven. Sadly, one can't fully experience a BMW in America, due to inconsistent road conditions, restrictive speed limits, and plus, we don't get the same BMW models that Europe gets, thanks to the EPA. I bet that BMW M5 is smooth at 100 MPH........

@moonwolf0330 weil ich zwischen´01 und´07 sehr gut mit einem Deutschen-Kart-Meister und Europa-Vize-Kart-Weltmeister (Name geheim) befreundet war und oft auf der heimeigenen Rennstrecke (der reichen Eltern) spannende Duelle hatte.

Er selbst sagte zu mir, dass pro Saison ca. 50.000 € fällig werden (mit Material, Anreise usw.) und er versicherte mir immer wieder, dass man ohne reiche Eltern nie Fuß fassen kann im Motorsport, so wie die gute Frau. btw. habe immer gewonnen gegen ihn.

A CLASSIC error that many Germans make in English: "I am driving the car since 18 years".

It's "FOR 18 years" or "SINCE 1992". Still love her and I don't always get my der/die/das correct, so who am I to complain?

@lewis72 That is simply because it is a direct translation from the German = 'seit' - which directly means 'since' in English. So all she was doing was directly translating the German phrase into English. Much like if you were to go over there and say the direct translation for 'I have been driving for 18 years' - you would get it wrong, as you would likely say 'für', rather than the correct 'seit'. Germans these days seem to have better English than most English people. Not saying much though..

Yes, I know that, I speak German & used to live in Austria. The whole point of learning another language is that you DON'T translate word for word but phrase for phrase etc. Equally, I wouldn't say "Do you like to go running" directly translated to German, but "Run you gladly?" or "Like you running?"
