Did anyone notice that he's not actually playing the music that is coming out in this video? Most of the time when they show him playing, it's actually a guitar playing!

@bausin You obviously do not realize that that is, in fact, a guitar that he is playing. It is called a 'Pedal Steel Guitar'. It consists of a guitar neck(sometimes two, but in this case, one) inverted horizontally and modified with pedals similar to that of a piano. So, yes, the guitar sounds you are hearing are indeed coming from that admittedly strange looking instrument.

@bausin Any instrument can be played in unique ans surprising ways. For a great example, look up the album "Passion and Warfare" by Steve Vai. He makes some sounds that one would never expect to come from a guitar. I'm not saying that you're wrong, but I AM saying that you shouldn't take such a Pharisaical view on the subject. No one is all knowing, that includes both me and yourself. I was merely playing devil's advocate.

From 2:00 to 2:16 where it shows him doing all kinds of crazy stuff on the steel, it is a guitar playing. The steel solo starts at 2:16, at 2:32 he gets up from the steel, but the steel continues playing without him. That's what I'm talking about.
