the lambo was a private owner car and couldnt be launched hard and the ferrari had a bad clutch . the testarossa's were notorious for hard clutches making smooth changes was difficult, especially for a first time driver

If you are not going to floor the gallardo in 1st. gear then don't race at all because the results will not be accurate. 13.6 is at least 1.3 seconds slower than it really is so drive it right or don't bother.
The 512M is a gorgeous old car, and it is my choice of the two, but a rematch with competent drivers would see the Lamborghini far ahead. The 512 was the last development of the "new for 1984" Testarossa, so this isn't really a fair fight. Still, it's a great car, and with only 500 or so in the world, it is far closer to the tradition of Italian low volume exotica than the mass-produced Audiesque Lambo. That flat 12 can claim lineage to the early 70's Ferrari Lemans racers...
An Audi with Lambo's badge. Ferrari is always a Ferrari, no copying or borrowing technology of other car manufacturer. Of course if the Gallardo have had a better start, it will win the race for sure but come on...a 1994 car comparing to a 2006 lambo. Should put F40 instead.

You can't put all that power down immediately in the Lambo. The AWD system would just cook the clutch

I agree. The Gallardo is just an Audi. At least if they decided on taking the Cala into production I'd be more impressed.

the right spelling is "TestaRossa".Tha car in the video is a 512M ,the evolution of the original 1984 Testarossa.
