I don´t know exactly, as I´m not a medic, but basically nothing goes on, I think it are different methods to figure out if there are any abnormalities (like hard spots, sore organs, knotted muscles) that shouldn´t be. You can read about it on wikipedia wiki/Abdominal_examination

@MsKathy1995 Why on Earth would it be painful if shes not sick??? No its not painful unless you have some problem with some of your organs for example here he checks for appendicitis, cholecystitis ect ect So in case you have something wrong then it would be bit painful....

Badly done? Yes, we know auscultation comes before palpation and percussion, but that's over here, in Europe, they do it differently. And she does have a nice firm abdomen

hm.. it's not that im being very judgmental about this examination.. but you know.. being a nursing student.. we did study lots of consideration during this kind of examination.. and one of the most important about it is.. of course.. provide privacy for the patient.. and of course.. we must be VERY systematic in every procedure. the palpation, percussion, inspection and auscultation must be done right.. it must be very systematic.
