I listen to this a lot. It's my favourite composition on the piano and you've actually added to it in a way that makes it much better in some ways.......can you please send me a high quality recording of this??? PLEASE?!?!?!? It'll take me years to be able to play this...if ever haha. So many favourite parts. @YoyoRoxiBestFri4ever Yes, exactly. I think player here has very good technic -- for me it is vissible most in perfectly octava-line somewhere in middle, played by right hand. I think he has got very fine light fingers, so after a little excercising of cleaness of sound -- I don't mean mistakes -- shit happens ;) -- but as Yoyo said, there is too much pedal. If I may advice, play it (at first) completely without any pedal. Just hands. I trained that way Flight of Bumblebee. And add pedal later.

@LogicalPhallusy I think its supposed to be related to jazz...like the blues scale, it is based off of that. You will notice at the end when he says get ready for a blue note, it has a jazzy feel to it. Thats my guess.

In this case, the Blue Note is the C# played just before the end. in G minor scale, C# is the sharp 4th note of the scale, and it is indeed connected with the blues tradition.
