  • Some may recall Jessica Dubroff who died at age seven in a plane crash during a cross-country flight. Guinness stopped recognizing 'youngest pilot' ventures years before her crash because it gave the impression that it was encouraging youths to engage in risky behavior.

The youngest cross-country flight movement became a yuppie craze of sorts until Jessica died.

  • As long as something is not harmfull to the others, everyone is free to take furtherahead the limits of his/her own against the nature, I think a break from school for an adventure around the world had tought her much more than a school can give in life...She'll catch with the school. If her parents let her to do that the authorities should only congragulate with her that she ha dbrought to her country a glory at such a young age!

  • She kicked butt! And did this because of her passion,..... not to get anything from anyone! She is the same as a high school student, skipping college, and going into the N.B. A. Congratulations!

  • They tried to block her from doing this, beacuse she 'should' have been at school! What a bunch of regulating control we shall all kinda illusive idiots. Dutch authorities always want to regulate and try to make a good looks out of their own benefit. Typical dutch, want to make evryone a christian and a model for the world so they look good. Shit country! Go Laura im happy you have done what u love to do keep going and fuck school!!

  • Fuck Guinness. She didn't do it for them, she doesn't need their recognition.

  • Chapeau, lighting everyone...with her adolescent command...

  • Geez, this is terrific. Now that a spoiled Dutch teenager has sailed around the world I feel inspired to cure cancer....

  • great job sweetheart. FK the govt and all their BS rules. Do what you want to do and be happy.

  • It is clear that we live in a "non sense" world!

Congratulations Laura and dont forget to do your homework!

    Cheers

  • Wow...that's messed up. "We know you set a world record, but we're not going to give it to you because you're too young"
