  • Yeah, it's great the way they each have their own "dirt bath". That's what we call them. LOL

They will dig them by themselves as well - our boys have got ones in different places, and they will go in one with their "special friend" together, and also take turns.

These girls are beautiful! Especially the golden one, but all of them are. If they are rescues, you have done an amazing job of getting them superbly healthy.

    Well done, Jordan!

  • @koolkatkiwi, I've heard of dirt bathing, but didn't realize it involved nice little hollows. I've seen shots of them roosting happily in trees, though :) How many males do you have? I always hear that it's difficult to keep very many together, so if any chicks are rescued before they're killed so unceremoniously, they have a hard time finding homes.

And I agree, they look gorgeously healthy and happy. Invercargill Vegan Society rules!

  • @koolkatkiwi thank you koolkatkiwi :-)

I hope you'll enjoy my other videos of our Chicken Friends :-)

  • Love those little beds they make in the dirt! They certainly can't do that, even in most cage-free farms! These are some beautiful birds...

  • @pantherapardus4 You're quite right panterapardus4, the issue is seeing Other Animals as living "stock", property.

I actually dig the holes with a spade, and they eagerly take it from there :-) Thank you for watching this video :-)
