It does work its called the twilight zone all you have to do is bend the wick away from the flint into one of the corners and graze your hand on the top of the chimney then the slight wind from waving your hand at it re ignites the flame

what you do is : you bend the wick a little to the outside, so it smoothly touches the iron.

then, when you make the top, where the flame is, a little airtight with your fingers, the flame will disappear.. but it's still in the little pocket you made with the wick.. and the slightest movement of the zippo makes the flame return.

@theYOTEproject No that's not how it works at all. You bend the wick and when you put your finger over top it forces the flame into a pocket beneath the wick, and the slightest air movement restarts the full flame. You can do it on any Zippo lighter.

@Juniorweed1 you have to move the match close to the edge, light it up, when u pass ur finger trow the flame it will look like u turn it off but is not. with a little of air it will light up again. if that doesn't work you have to move the match a little more to the center and do it again and wala there's your trick

man nimmt den docht vom zippo und zieht ihn ein klein wenig heraus...dann tut man (am besten mit einer zange) den docht zur seite biegen das der docht sozusagen aussieht wie umgedrehtes ein L ...

wenn man dann mit den fingern über die flamme geht ist der sauerstoff weg aber unter dem docht ist noch gas und durch das ' wedeln ' kommt wieder luft an das gas und meistens geht das liebe gute zippo auch wieder an :))

@skyhop That's because this is a Zippo, which runs on liquid. That's like trying to put out an explosion with your fingers. Works on Bics (be careful!), but not any liquid ones (if you see liquid in a cheap Bic or other, that's fine, because it becomes a gas when it leaves the lighter)

it's simple... he thucks he wick in the one of the holes. after that he lights it - the whick is not straight so the flame isn't stable. he extingueshes the flame , pretending to 'take' it away. although you can't see it the flame is still there - it's just really small then he just blows air into the lighter via hand movement and there you go - flame is back to life
