HEYY! autozone has some handy functional stuff. Don't be too rough on autozone tools and they can last a while. As long as you can get the job done then whatever!
hey it doesn't take very many tools to get a timing belt changed. I bought a spring compressor that was 60 bucks but it made the job so much easier. To adjust the valves for more efficient cylinders I made a tool by melting an open end wrench and a deep socket together. You can get a socket set anywhere with extensions anywhere. The bests thing u can do is to buy a service manual for your specific car so you don't make a mistake even the first time.
i'm looking at changing the head gasket on my 2.4 twin cam GM engine. I wasn't going to do it myself except the estimate from all the shops are insane. So I guess I'll be doing the same thing you did!
lol I don't know half what I would like to know, but when you have a passion for somthing you want to know all you can about it. So read and drive. The hardest part for most would probably be getting the timing correct when you are done. I had trouble myself but after you tackle that then all the rest is experience and reading. have a great day.
he rambles lol

I have an integra B18B1 with a blown head gasket, do you think that it would be the same process as replacing on an H22? I'm going to do it myself.
loucks428 2 years ago
Ya basically get yourself a manual, time and a garage then go at it. Following the manual is pretty darn easy. Just read and copy!
