I was 13 and living in Ireland during this World Cup.
We'd be out on the fields constantly playing, every time someone got past their man, they'd be shouting "different class, different class" HA HA HA good memories
The commentator in this clip is Irish TV's veteran commentator Jimmy "Memory Man" Magee. Over here, the way he called the goal is almost as famous as the goal itself as he just let the actions of Maradona do the talking.
BTW there was a short delay on the audio feed due to the satellite link that adds to it all.
Mr. Pippin76, what are you talking about 'what a terrible commentator though' ?
You are crazy, listen again, here's the script:--- "Enrique to Maradona, ........., of a different class.......... different claaasss!" That is great commentating, the fact that he had just prophetically described Maradona as 'of a different class' then to have him score the best World cup goal ever a few seconds later! Even he (the commentator) was surprised when his prophecy came true, hence "different claaasss!"
lol i like how owens goal against argentina was similar with the way he got past the defence. even though i support england i think maradonas goal is better and more skillfull
