They are other nations did this this similar types of war crimes, not just the US. During the Malayan Emergency, British troops killed 24 innocent villagers and burn their village up in Batang Kali. In May 1945, Algerians Muslims were celebrating VE-Day until they clashed with French authorities so France responded by executing, killing them, and bombed their villages. 6,000 were killed.

Viets & even NLF/VC left in the Boat People Exodus. Gen. Giap was even pushed to the background by the hard line Stalinists.

@50poiuyt, We had withdrawn our combat units long before 1975. Many S. Vietnamese left with the remaining & few embassy & military personnel. Sorry, our forces never lost a major battle & ARVN did well in 1972 & 1975. For us it was a political defeat rather than military. The hard line Stalinist Viet communists were to harsh, & many S. Viets & even NLF/VC left in the Boat People Exodus. Gen. Giap was even pushed to the background by the hard line Stalinists.

USA never lost a major gound operation when USA ground units were involved. We had too much airpower & arty. available, & even when outnumbered on the ground we caused more casualties than we took. Of course we were defeated in many smaller & daily operations as is the case in war.

You went from President Truman to Vice President Johnson and then President Kennedy (all Democrats) You forgot to mention who started the war for the Americans- President Eisenhower with Vice President Nixon (Republicans) This was when they prevented the reunification election that was scheduled before 1956.Are you deliberately lying or just ignorant???

10:30 morning,most of the soldiers began going toward the plaza.Villagers who had been killed lied everywhere.They took a break.Nearby was a boy,crying,with a bullet in his stomach.A GI with Capt Medina asked Carter for his pistol.Carter gave it to him & the GI then stepped two ft from the boy & shot him in the neck.Blood gushed from the child's neck.He tried to walk off,but he could only take 2 or 3 steps.Then he fell & layed there.He took 4 or 5 deep breaths & then he stopped breathing & died.

It's so sad and unbelievable that such men could commit such a crime...I mean, Vietnam was one big disturbing mess, of course the VC/NVA murdered on a similar and worse scale than the Americans, but to believe that these men were fighting for 'supposed' freedom, well...you wouldnt know it
