  • Given the choice I don't think the horse would have a rider on its back if were getting technical! Great job wes and norm! Pleasure as always

  • I work at one of the premier equine hospitals in the southwest. You would be amazed at how much people spend on their horses to keep them healthy. You don't just wake up one day and go "Four Wheeling" on a mule. It takes time, practice and skill. Trust me a 1000# equid will not do anything it doesn't want to. We have clients who can't trailer their horse cuz it's afraid of the trailer, we go to them. No amount of sedation will change his mind. Most injuries are from poor conformormation.

  • Awe, I wanna join those trips! They sound fun! And are you by any chance a competitive trail rider? I have a feeling it's a sport your horse could thrive in.

  • thats awesome!!

  • people what do you think they do in the wild. i believe the more stuff your horses isnt affraid of doing the better the horse. what they are doing is freakin awsome. if all you do is ride on flat groung all the time the horse gets bored.

  • Guys it's not that bad he landed on a soft sand surface, but the one thing i did think was bad is the surface it jumped off :/

  • Pffff La personne qui a fait cette video est vraiment q'un sale connard !!!! Pauvre cheval :@ ça me degoute !!

  • haha i watched the video 3 times and 1.he didnt force his horse to do anything and 2. haha you didnt even jump over the guy lols you jumped next to him teehee

  • the horses are trained to do this

    this isn't poor .

    the horses don't know else.

the horse and rider are trained by this and i have respect because the trainer

let the horse do it slow and when he thinks its clear.

  • @dana4792 just because its trained to do this and doesnt know else doesnt mean that its good for the horses legs!

I still think its a poor devil

and this deffinately isnt good for the horses legs!

  • If the horse didn't want to do it , it wouldn't of done it !!!!! These horses and riders are amazing ! I love all their video's

  • I love it when people who know absolutely nothing about horses make outrageous claims. Ask questions, don't make judgements. These horses actually love what they do.

  • @ronphlf ....Kudos...for once a person with brains who has the right answer for all of this nonsense! You're awesome!

  • bet yall have a blast, to bad we aint got nothin like that round our part of the states.

  • that sucks.

  • How is that "horse jumps cowboy?" Dude is hiding under the ledge off to the side. At least he is useful to show how tall that part of the drop is.

  • this is bad for the horses legs and back i own horses and making it do something like this just for your amusment is wrong!

  • haha to bad there arent any ledges like that around here! my friends and i would have lots of fun!!

  • What is wrong with you?

  • half these people who comment probably dont own horses. If the horse did not think he could jump down, believe me, he wouldnt. This isnt abuse. I dont see anywhere in this video where he is forcing the animal.

  • Very True!!!! someone give me a ring when they can force a horse to do something it doesnt want to!

  • the horse trusts his rider;

but still, this just looks like you're taking advantage of his nature and attempting to out-do eachother with whatever you do.

oh, and i believe the horse landed next to the cowboy.

    DICKK

  • Wow, you ARE amazing, arent you? Your a redneck hick who tries to kill his horse. *gasps* SO AMAZING

  • these horses are obviously trained to do this kind of stuff. but if given a choice, would they really want to do this? the people who ride them obviously cant ride, or know anything about horses. a horse can get just as abused in the english showjumping world, but this is killer for fetlocks, hocks, and the horses back.

  • i have to agree with him you cant force a horse to do anything they have their own minds my horse will do anything for me its all about trust if the horse doesnt want to do it they wont.

  • OutlawRides is determined to prove that Darwin was in fact wrong...no one like him is intelligent enough to have evolved from an Ape !!

  • you rock west

  • stupid cowboy...horses shouldn't be forced to do that! What if it broke it's leg? You would have messed up it's life!

  • I have not yet been able to force my horse to do anything. I will keep working out at the gym so that I will be strong enough to "force" my horse to do things.

  • Not being mean here but you don't need to force a horse its asking which is the problem. I know you are more then likely older than me and have more experience but a horse will put so much trust in a human that they are willing to do anything for them. Even if it means death. :( Found that out the hard way when i was 9.

  • I sorry for you. I really man it. I don't have a horse but i wish i did. I am sorry for you again. ;....^( c this smiley is crying.

  • thats a weird smiley crying :P

  • R u typing that in a mean way or a nice way? C I used the word typing instead of saying. I was using my nogin.

  • I was be nice just saying its a weird smiley :)

  • Oh well thanx. :P

  • Nevermind i just got 2 horses named Boomer 32 years old and Munchie 27 or 28 years old and the one i ride.

  • @OutlawRides good point

  • @OutlawRides Yepp, it is allmost impossible to "force" a horse if they dont want !!!

Good job , i like your videos, keep am comming!!!!!!! Im waiting!

  • If you honestly thought that horse looked like it was being forced into anything, you need glasses. It's good that the horse was trusting enough to do that.

  • It is more likely for a show jumper or a cross country horse to break its leg then this horse here.

  • noooo , if it would have broken a leg you take it to the vet and he fixes it ... its the racing horses whos stop racing after an injury ...

  • @tuttoz You cant fix a broken leg on a horse you dill. Very rare that you ever can, they need all there legs for supporting them. I am saying this from experience.

  • of course you can , you wouldnt be able to ride it but you can fix it ...my dad had fixed a few , its rare when they do break theyr legs , i know, and its it takes way to long to get better so most people just kill them .

  • @inmadz you can actually it's just the chances of the horse not developing other promblems the cuases them to be put down.

    and the cost

  • @oceansprinter

Its fricken cruel to even think about attempting to fix a horses leg, not worth putting them through it all, yes possible, but a broken leg is usually the end of them....

  • @inmadz I'd have to disagree we had a horse break its leg about 4 years ago, and we splinted it and made a sling to keep the weight off of his leg. As he healed we put his weight back on it, little by little, and now you can't even tell that anything has happened to him. 1 of my cousins and I show him regularly, she shows in jumping and I show him in all western events, he doesn't limp at all. You could ride him all day without him getting sore or anything. He is PERFECTLY fine, Vet approved!

  • @babycolt19 what if a horse broke a leg while jumping, or barrel racing or cross country?? LIfe means risk.

  • @babycolt19 you cant friggin FORCE a 1,000 lb animal whos not going to do someting to do it. idiot

  • @babycolt19 It doesn't look like they're forcing the horse to do anything,, remember horses are loads stronger than us and if they didnt want to they wouldnt,, also if the rider thought their horse was able to do it thats why they tried it mabe? He wasn't forced in my opinion

  • @babycolt19

im 100% sure the horse absolutely adores the things this man bring his horse into.

It's trail riding, what do you think wild horses do?

stop being so critical, and actually learn and attempt to understand the way horses work before you comment, you sound ignorant.

  • Good skills!!

  • This was on our trip last fall into the back country of Southern Utah in Horseshoe Canyon, this is the canyon that Butch and Sundance traveled to get to their hideouts. It was a great 3 days of riding in this awesome canyon country..
