Beautiful! Very expressive. After listening to this version I went back to other versions including the one from John Williams and I like Flavio's rendition the best. The way he handles the colors of the guitar is just great! As a SouthAmerican classical guitarist I thank you Flavio for playing this music so well.

He plays it very nicely.. and makes a big deal of any opportunity for expression which some people love.. but he loses 'el sabor venezolano' for me.. listen to Alirio Diaz play it and it is rougher, more understated in fancy licks and slurs, but it has far more rythm and 'feel'. Flavio is playing sounds very straight and european to me. Alirio makes you want to dance! A subtle but huge difference! Williams version is far better as well.. surely you can hear that??

I understand your point about the tempo and rythm. With most classical music we have more freedom with it, something that does not fit well with our Southamerican valses wich are very rythmical. However, the colors of the sound, and some of the accents that Flavio uses are just fantastic. I would like a version with Diaz rythm but with Flavio's accents.
