Hi I'm looking for some advice

My current set up is as follows:

Sapphire Radeon HD 4650 HD 1GB

Windows Xp

2GB RAM

Celeron 2.6 GHZ

Every game I have ever tried to run, works like complete trash even simple games like CSS.

I'm asking here to see if it would be a worthwhile upgrade to buy the Pentium Dual-Core (E5800 - 3.2GHZ)

Basically im wondering if this will have a drastic improvement or just a little one

what settings are you using, did you made any tweaks? I can not play on my hd 2600pro :( it lags to much but the hd 2600 is better then x1650 pro right?

@Androlas7 yeah the hd 2600 is better, but my fps is about 5-15 fps, but it is on GAMER settings, I can only see advanced, gamer, and hardcore, I dont see low settings :( who did you find it?

Actually...

The HD2600 is great, but the X1650 Pro is actually an overclocked version of the X1600, so instead of hitting it's claimed 800mhz memory clock speed it actually hits over 1000mhz. Look at power use, hd2600 is 400w max at 533w, x1650 pro 450w max at 566w. Also the x1650 pro boasts 8 pixel pipelines instead of 4 and can draw nearly 2x as fast as hd2600. HD 2600 Pro peak pixel fill rate 2.4g/s with 16gb/s memory, X1650 Pro closer to 3.6g/s per sec, with 22.4gb/s memory.

the only differences are that you have s478 and i have LGA 775 + you have 512 mb agp card and i have a 1 gb pci e card,and last you have more 512 mb of ram
