I'm must make this receipe. It looks fantastic. The orange you use, what kind of orange is it! It looks like blood orange as we call it here in Holland. Or is it just orange you use to make juice? Love your recipes. I hope to see more recipes from you.
@05matador sorry i have forgotten what were the vegetables in fridge the other day. i promise i will writr clearly the name abd quantity when i writr my recipe book. pls excuse me.
it looks good, but i might use boneless/skinless chicken instead. you also get more flavor per surface area of chicken if you cut the chicken into smaller pieces. if you use whole pieces of chicken with skin you're really just flavoring the skin...not the actual chicken.
If you look carefully, you can see that the stove is set for med-low after ten minutes. in the previous shot, the stovetop was set for high. at what point should you turn down the heat
whah! You are so careful. Thank you for paying this much attention. Ok, in most of my cooking, I use strong fire to bring to the boiling point, then I turn to slower fire. Does this make it clearer? Thank you.
Haiying, once again you have proven to be my inspiration. I just did my own version of your Orange Chicken. I had to improvise.
I used:
- Minced ginger (two slices)
- Minced onion (two Tbs)
- stir fry oil to sautee these until aromatic.
I then cooked the chicken per your instructions adding honey instead of brown sugar (I don't think your video calls for it, but other do), about a tsp and a double shot of bacardi rum instead of the sherry. Instead of chili powder I used siracha sauce.
I love all your videos, but especially the cooking because you make it look so simple. I will try this with tofu since I don't eat meat and I think it will be delicious. Thank you! ps I also love your "experiment" videos, like the lipstick one and the soap. They are very creative.
That's GENERAL TNO CHICKEN!! emphasis on NO!
