@albicarrara Yes, but: what I like about, e.g. Hilary Hahn's interpretation is its _tenderness_. I sometimes suspect (hope) that Bach chose dance media solely because that's what was out there - and because he liked to play around with existing forms. (che mi fa domandare se e il carattere di una danza che e veramente ORIGINARIO, qui.) This version is great - maybe more FUN. But I'm starting to worry that we are becoming obsessed with sounding original at the expense of really capturing feeling.
