Have you noticed on this version, Ramirez's line: "McCleod... this... is... The Quickening!" from just before they jump off the cliff, has been been cut. That bugs me.
@1527cool It's The Highlander Theme composed by Michael Kamen (sadly no longer with us, God rest his soul). The track is available on both "Michael Kamen's Opus" album (I think only on CD), and the original scores album which is available on iTunes but I think it's listed as the Final Dimension. If you go for the latter, it's track one. On the Kamen album it is just the training track isolated though.
@krishnanmc3 Someone once said Highlander was a film in which (I paraphrase)"a Scotsman sounds like a Frenchman, an Egyptian sounds like a Scotsman and a Russian sounds like an American!"
"Macleod...I was born 2,437 years ago. In that time, I've had three wives. The last was Shakiko, a Japanesse Princess. Her father, Masamune, a genius, made this for me...in 593 B.C. *draws out his katana* It is the only one of its kind...like his daughter. When Shakiko died, I was shattered. I would save you that pain. Please, let Heather go."
This is such an epic film. Never would have seen it if I wasn't a Queen fan. Probably one of 5 my favorite movies of all time. Connery and Lambert are brilliant in this. The Kurgan was so bad ass too. Happy Halloween Ladies!
Great clip! But seems some audio is missing. "Im alive... I can breath." And "McLeod come on! hahaha. I feel'em. Come on! I feel em! Come on! Come on hagus! hahaha (McLeod...This is the Quickening!) yaaa". Couple of other areas too. I know I memorized the script. Ya I have nothing better to do. Plus Ive seen it 100 times.
@jfim74 your English is not very good. It is quite obviously not located in a city, it is on a mountain! but it is on the Isle Of Skye, by the north west coast of Scotland
I think it's funny that lambert plays a scotsman when in reality he's french, and connery's character is egyptian where connery is actually a scotsman.
I see you post and raise you a beter one. Lambert was born American, raised in Europe, had to learn English, and speaks as if every word coming out of his mouth sounds like thousands of years of knowledge being passed down. Meanwhile, Connery plays an Egyptian, with a Spanish name, and speaks in a Scottish accent.
@southerncajuncharm Though born in Great Neck, Long Island, Christopher Lambert's family left the US when he was only two years old. His father was a United Nations diplomat assigned to Switzerland and, as a result, Chris was educated at private boarding schools in Geneva.
Sean Connery looks and sounds like Sheogorath.

Does anyone know - what is the snippet that Ramirez sings at the beginning of the boat scene in the first Highlander?

Call me whatever you want, but I consider this to be one of the best scenes ever in movie history... And Sean Connery is simply astonishing...

Nothing against this movie, I love it, but am I the only one who thinks that Sean Connery in this looks like a gay Musketeer?
On a side note, I've eaten haggis with french fries, very tasty.

Sean Connery's Scottish.. His accent gives him away and he still asks 'What is Hagus'?

i cannot fathom how funny it was for connery to call haggis revolting seeing as he is scottish himself.
