  • Well said Mr. President-elect. The economic problem is tough, but we're with you.

  • I have never heard such hatred. I thought the democrats were the party of tolerance. non-judgmental. live and let live and all that...

  • Obama is the next Osama!

  • So McCain stabbed him in the back over the joint statement. i c. And then McCain goes out and pretends to be bipartisan. seems to me its the Republicans who are shouting lets be bipartisan and then in the same phraze try to hammer the opposition.

  • all these racist ignorant comments are a waste of time. focus on the REAL ISSUE...who is better fit to run our country. McCain is an EVASIVE, INCOMPETENT, FOOL who expects us to be stupid enough to vote for him and the airheaded alaskan. OBAMA 08

  • Harvey Dent for president!

  • lisanovasux: An empty suit? What, like you?

No resume, huh? What do you call his years as a community organizer, or his years of experience as a senator?

  • Most of his votes as a state senator he voted "Present" hundreds of times. Which means he doesn't have the balls to take a stand. Community organizer, Come on. You can't compare running the biggest corporation in the world(The United States Government) to planning picnics in Chicago!

  • i know how to get the US working again STOP THE FUCKIN WAR OVER SEAS AND IN OUR BACKYARDS!! LEGALIZE IT!!!!!

  • Here's a solution to the dilemma around the first presidential debate: watch?v=0agSq7Wqas0

  • Go Obama

  • I want someone running my country who had experience fighting for it... not going to school in hawaii...

  • too bad, i want a 8 inch cock but thats not how the cookie crumbled

  • He didn't go to school in Hawaii he was born there you dumb ass. Please do not vote at all LTLDMSJ.

  • He went to high school in Hawaii, and then college in L.A, then he went to New York City to Columbia, and then Havard...

  • Sara Palin???? statistically there's a 33% chance Mcain won't srvive his first term....

  • You dumb bitch, he went to HIGH SCHOOL is Hawaii (which is a state dumbass), and went to college Occidental College in L.A, Columbia Univ. in New York City, then Havard. THREE COLLEGES! While McCain graduated at the BOTTOM of his class. I rather have a president that studied and RESEARCHED, planned his shit out before RUNNING HIS MOUTH than a president that graduated 894 out of 899 in his damn class. Yo! just shut up if you don't have anything to say. You sound stupid!

  • obama can't make a speech without a telepromptor

  • needs mccrap to show up,oh wait he postponed-can`t handle a crisis that his own party started.

  • Lol.

  • And John McCain can't make one with or without, your point.

  • And I suppose John McCain is better...he can't make a speech with or without one...

  • mccain knows he is get his ass handed to him! with out fake scripted speach's !lol

  • Campaign? Humph. Why not the whole damn election?

4 more year to get it right.

  • what truly is amazing, is that people want to put blame on democrats. However, it seems to me that if anyone is to blame for the state of the economy it would be the president. Considering these two facts:

1.) He's the President, the buck stops with him. Literally.

2.) He personally chooses the heads of Treasury and S.E.C. and so on....

If he actually knew what was going on with the economy maybe he would have been able to stop it. Instead, as I recall, we were in a slowdown. Who's to blame

  • Mc Cain wants to be President of the United States of America but he can't multi-task. The world doesn't collectively hit pause every time their is a crisis. The fact that their is a crises provides more of a reason to hold the debate. Mc Cain is clearly pandering, Obama is 100% right to ask that the debate be held.

  • yeah remember the ads...obama not ready to lead, this show and tells me he his. mccains no maverick.

  • I want the debate to happen, because I think that if Obama plays his cards right, he can force John McCain to display his notorious temper to the world. Seriously, I know someone who used to work very closely with Senator McCain and he said that he has the worst temper that he's ever seen with any politician, and he's worked with several of them. He's also a republican, but because of his knowledge of who John McCain really is, will be voting for Obama in November.

    Obama 08

  • If Obama had suspended to campaign to run back and save the bill on capitol hill..how many reporters would have asked how presumptuous he was being?

America needs to learn to treat all people the same. The world is watching.

    OBAMA/BIDEN 2008-2016!

  • the cricis has nothing to do with the campaign... all over the world we have economic problems, but the show must go on :D

  • Cowardly REpubs.. .... McCoward can run cuz obama will gonna electrocute is pee hole if there is a debate.

  • This is a completely reasonable and responsible response to the crisis - in contrast to McCain's cowardly and dishonorable flight. There is no good reason why the candidates can't help out in Washington AND hold the debate.

  • he knows obama will get the best of him in a debate. obama did all those 'talks' in front of audiences knowing full well that mccain was better at it than him. but mccain won't extend the same courtesy not so much to him as to the american people. if obama was being a coniving coward like this it would be all over the place

  • ever since this crisis has 'begun' mccain has been ducking the two appearances he would have on national television...he ducked david letterman and now hes ducking the debate because he knows he will be exposed...letterman would have embarrassed him badly so he said he was suspending his campaign and returning to dc which he didnt do. instead he did interview with katie couric and now hes doing the same with the debate. hes using the crisis to avoid being exposed

  • I love how Barack Hussein Obama II, also known as "Barry Soetoro", puts country first! Isn't his JOB a Senator? Let me ask you: can you ditch your job duties to seek another, better job? He, and McCain, should've stepped down from their Senate position to run. But, lacking that, they should RETURN to Washington during a crisis in which their Senatorial duties are needed. I want to become a Senator- you don't have to work and get paid! Now I know that Obama doesn't care about the USA but still...

  • MarcaGeronis Barack Hussein Obama can fix it instead of shittin him self like the old geezer. No repubs ever put the country first. Their funds are in trouble so McCoward has to save his bitches (cindy's) cash.

  • 1) I doubt Cindy's, who you call "bitches"(sic), business is going to flounder- even if we went into a full on depression. Most of her business is beer distribution. In hard times, actually, people drink more or at least the same.

    2) why are all Obama adherents always so sexist? If you look at YouTube every reference to a woman (Hillary, Cindy, Palin, etc) is ALWAYS: "bitch" or other sexist term. Is this a "black thing"?

  • wow, allege sexism and then show racism - that's an impressive amount of stupidity. For the record, I like and respect Hillary but I'm happy to say that I think Palin is a stupid bitch.

  • Hate to tell but there are a lot more women than there are sexist blacks! So good luck to Barack Hussein Obama II, a.k.a. "Barry Soetoro", who is counting on sexism to get elected. Guess what? Some of his fellow Muslims (or former Muslims since he "found Christ" under Rev.Wright) who are women will vote against him since, in America, even Muslim women can't vote- much to the dismay of Obama likely!

  • Shut your mouth fag, stop drinking the kool aid from Mccain's nasty cock

  • I'm not sure why you are so "bitter"? Could it be that you are a "typical white person"? Your hatred and anger seems like you might "cling to your guns and the Bible"? Your fag comment is weird- do you "fear others" due to some internal sexual conflicts? It is indeed weird how every Barack Hussein Obama II adherent seems to be overtly sexist and covertly homosexual?

ps: all quotes used are from Barry Soetoro, now using the name Barack Hussein Obama II.

  • counting on sexism to get elected???

You're talking as if its Obama who chose Palin for Mcain, or as if she actually has any credentials that make her even remotely qualified.

oh, and Muslim women can't vote in America????? WHAT???

  • sorry, I mistyped, unless under a direct threat from their husband or fatwa, Muslim women in the USA & Europe can vote in elections(assuming they are legal citizens and are not underage- keeping in mind that Muslims often arrange marriages with very young girls and, in Europe, not all are legal citizens.)

  • Can one person literally be that stupid and ignorant? I'm struggling to believe it, but I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. The only thing Obama is counting on is that the voting public have an ounce of sense. The choice of Palin was not his, although it helps him - say McCain dies (very possible), then we have someone with no credible credentials whatsoever in the White House. No voter can possibly want that, although I imagine given your previous statements you'll probably argue this too.

  • Firstly, if you knew your civics the President is, Constitutionally, all told a rather weak leader- at least compared to other political systems. So if Congress and the States did their duties it wouldn't matter, much, who is President- even someone with no qualifications like Obama. However due to Congressional weakness and uneducated people, like you, the President does have more power than Constitutionally allowed. This is why a far-left radical with foreign allegiences is scary!

  • First off, you don't know me - I am well-educated, and very much middle ground politics-wise. Tell me how Obama is far-left? Please do. He's not even far-left in comparison with ultra-right neo-con fucktards like you.

Foreign allegiances? What sort of bullshit is this? Please try and quantify these, I dare you. Your country could probably do with some of these anyway, as you've managed to piss off the entire world pretty much over the last few years.

  • As I suspected you are not even a US citizen, so I can forgive your lack of education with regard to the US Constitution and Presidential power. I look to Obama's books, mentors, advisors, friends, and supporters to reveal his far-left sympathies. He even is friends with admitted terrorists and refuses to disclose his visits to Pakistan as a youth or his use of an alias "Barry Soetoro" in the past. Also, Obama visited Europe for his campaign tour as first priority.

  • I know more foreigners that know our Constitution better than Americans - especially our existing President! Obama has some of the most scholarly, educated and patriotic advisors and mentors. You've been drinking the Fox kool-aid. Wake up and think about what is best for our country. That my friend is NOT McCain.

  • I doubt that "more foreigners" know our Constitution better than Americans but I agree that most Americans don't know the Constitution very well and have been brainwashed into this ideal of a "growing" Constitution and that "those ideas" don't apply to a modern society anymore. Bush and his ilk know the Constitution- they just ignore it. Obama and his ilk know the Constitution and just seek to destroy it and seek an "internationalist" interpetation of the document and a "globalist" morality.

  • Please, oh wise an knowledgable marcaGeronis: Tell me how Obama seeks to destroy the constitution. Then tell me how YOU seem to be the only one to come upon this startling revolution, and the hundreds of thousands of people; some of them far more politically and world wise than you or I; have simply missed his oh-so-obvious plan(to you anyway) to destroy the constitution.

  • Gee...where to start. How about this $700+ billion bailout. You see anywhere in the Constitution that the government can give money to private corps? Or the warrantless wiretaps and surveillence? You think the Founding Father's like that? Or Obama's "Truth Squads", his support for "fairness" doctrines, and "hate" speech laws? Do those jive with the 1st Amendment. Or his wanting to take all guns away (starting with effective weapons and then later all of them). 2nd Amendment anyone?

  • keep in mind that plenty of people on the so-called "right" also don't respect the Constitution (Bush etc) but because many Republicans are bad doesn't make voting for a megalomanical leftist anymore of a rational choice!

  • which Obama, or Soetoro, advisors and backers are so patriotic? Soros who crippled Asia with his financial manipulations and seeks a worldwide, global "open" government society and hates nationalism. Or Ayers who, soon after 911, opined how he "didn't go far enough" in his communist terrorist bombings and insurrection. Or Michelle who was "never proud" of the USA. Or Obama himself who chooses Europe and the Muslim world as his first campaign stops. Who has "truth squads". Who wants to ban guns.

  • marcaGeronis, Those are vile smears against Obama and they deserve no response except for this: I have reported you to youtube administrators, and if you continue such pernicious lying I will not hesitate to contact Missouri state prosecutors (Truthsquad volunteers) who may take legal action against you.

  • Here in America the senators have to vote on issues, Those votes are then part of public record. A review of all His holiness Obamas votes place him as the farthest left senator. Fact! He has now, for the cameras, moved toward the center. It is called Marketing. please stay concerned with the politics of your own country.

  • Democrats, and especially democratic presidential candidates, have historically been lawyers. Clearly we need to reduce the number of lawyers running this country...

  • McCain (R-AZ) 5/25/2006 For years I have been concerned about the regulatory structure that governs Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac...

and there sheer magnitude of these companies and the role they play in the housing market...the GSE's need to be reformed without delay."

That bill ( FEDERAL HOUSING ENTERPRISE REGULATORY REFORM ACT) made it out of the senate banking committee with a party line vote all the democrats voted against it.

Senator Obama did not weigh in on the bill

  • Charles Schumer (D-NY) 4/6/2005 ..."I think Fannie & Freddie have done an incredibly good job, and are an intristic

part of making america the best housed people in the world....if you look over the last 20 or whatever yrs. Theyve done a very, very good job.

  • Barney Frank (D-MA) denied there was any problem " Fannie Mac & Freddie Mare are not in Crisis"

Encouraging the government to do more to get low income families into homes, Ultimately blocking the regulation.

Allan Greenspan , 2/17/2005 spoke about the dangers of Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac "enabling these institutions to

increase in size -and they will once the crisis in their judgement passes-we are placing the total financial system of

the future at a substantial risk.

  • The bush adminstration in 4/2001 raised red flags, the 2002 budget requests declares Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac

"Potential problem.. and can cause strong repercussions in the financial markets"

In 2003 the White House upgraded the warning to a systemic risk that could spread beyond the housing sector.

John Snow Treasury Secretary called for Regulations & Supervision of GSE's.

  • McChicken runs for cover

    Obama/Biden '08 -the real deal!

  • What a sorry pair of morons we have running for the white house....never a mention to illegal immigration in months. Think people... it starts with this ..its all but broke California and the cancer grows. We hear nothing but shit coming from both camps. The Bush administration has all but destroyed the Republican party and the Democrats have been pathetic for years....where do we go from here... should have cloned Lee Harvey O.!

If theres a god lets hope he has a sense of humor. Am I wrong?

  • John Mccain knows darn well, that he did not cancel the debate because of the economy, he canceled it because he cant debate as good as obama. LOL.

im not voting for either of them, im voting for a minor party.(:

  • Then you might as well stay home and watch t.v. Voting for a minority party is useless. Please reconsider; you sound smart.

  • i wouldnt be surprise if he goes in the hospital next to stall the election. mccain is sickening

  • All Rhetoric

They are going to sell us out.

You can't ignore the people who were responsible, you must reward them and let those who failed learn their lesson.

  • Yes they will sell everyone out. Now that they have transformed USA into a communist state they are preparing for martial law.

    watch?v=ufxsUCKJ51M

  • You're right Marniespeaks. The officers of these companies have failed by pushing deregulation. They privatized profits and are attempting to socialize losses. That's morally wrong. It is theft from the country. Which is why Obama calls for every dime to be returned to the American people who are being told to absorb the debt of a company that failed.

Your future tense negates that as Americans we have been sold out for the last seven years. Mcsame will continue to sell us out.

  • Happy to let the market benefit them when there are profits, quickly becoming socialist when it comes to bailing them out.

Obama is lying he is bought by lobbyist and the banks

    lobby lawyers $24,000,000

    banks gave him $10,000,000

    goldman sachs $700,000

    citigroup $500,000

    jpmorgan $500,000

and all the numbers aren't even in yet

This is why Obama is AFRAID to Debate Nader and Barr

  • McCain doesn't want to debate because he is for the exact deregulation that got our financial systems and economy in this huge mess we're in now. He doesn't want to face the tough questions that will be posed to him about his votes on regulation and now he's scared to debate. I bet sarah the barracuda is going to back out of her debates to. lol Vote Obama/Biden '08

  • we have not had two senators run against each other since Nixon and Kennedy did in 1960. If your job is to be a senator, then preform you job. weather you consider it a stunt by McCain or not, His first job is as a senator and president since he is not president at this time. Obama is in the same boat. I think McCain did the right thing by taking part in an important vote. They Can delay the debate by a couple of days.

  • you know I understand now, Obama himself is more important than any vote in the senate. why do your job, hey, it's all about Barrack Obama. He is more important than the country itself. His ego need feeding. A god on earth like obama can't be bothered with voting in the senate when he must save the world from ourselves.

  • At least there are McCain campaign employees throwing around words like leadership and initiative, you can always trust on the republicans to throw away the issues and get us into clichés and talking points.

  • heh I like the bit at the end:

"it's not like we have to hitch the horse to the wagon and spend a month riding from Washington to Nashville. Like, dude, flights every hour on the hour."

McCain is just flailing about to see how he can keep Palin from being savaged by Biden.

  • Obama; spoken like the lawyer that he is. McCain shows initiative and true leadership, while Obama focuses on first placing the blame, tries to take credit for McCain's ideas, then tells congress & the White house "I'm available if you need me" !?! Someone needs to remind Obama that as a senator, it is part of his job description to help solve this mess.

  • Bush spoken like the president of the United States that he is. And if he could run for a 3rd term. I'm pretty sure a real patriotic american like you who always knows what true leadership is will vote for him again just like you did before.

  • don't you think that is what the REST of the congress is for? if two senators are in line for a heated debate that may very well decide the next president of america, then why bother submitting a plan you're not even sure will be approved? the smart decision is to wait until you're the president, only then can you make a substantial impact on the economic issues to date. this is nothing but the old mccain stunt; he's just doing this to once again glam up his campaign, again in a dishonorable way

  • So, one of the most important issues that faces this country and the next President and Obama says, let the Bush administration handle it, call me if you need me. I totally understand McCain wanting to be a part of this huge decision that will effect American and the next President for a very long time. The Debate can wait a couple of days.

  • I'd like the ballot ticket to include a checkable box "NONE OF THE ABOVE". If it received a majority of the vote, then all potential candidates on the original ticket would be ineligible to run for office on the next ticket. USA - a republic!

  • How can McCain bridge the huge gap comparing with Obama's eloquent and articulate debate?

At least the suspend decision of McCain shows that he is not good at multitask handling.

Further, does he think that he can do more than the president Bush and the congress who already pledged the bailout plan?

  • what?????

Does McCain think that the senate will still be working on the 9:00 pm Friday night?

Does McCain think that the senate will still be working on the 9:00 pm Friday night?

Does McCain think that the senate will still be working on the 9:00 pm Friday night?

  • Obama is wise to continue his campaign - he sure hasn't made any accomplishments as a senator!

Another thing that bothers me - Obama rarely looks the camera "in the eye".

  • i'm glad obama didn't chump out here... and yes... give the money BACK to it's rightful owners... THE PEOPLE!

  • hee hee... somebody 'thumbs down' what i said... should the money not go back to the people? or should obama have chumped out? i am confused... i think, had he agreed with mc cain in stalling the debates, that would have been a strategically weak move on his part. i am smiling...

  • and i totally agree with his statements in the middle of the clip... if taxpayers are paying for this bailout (which we are) we should get the money back. and if republicans are all about shrinking government influence, then this whole bailout/corporate welfare situation should not even exist.

now let's see what mc cain does...

    peace...

  • Mc Cain knows he will loose in a debate dominated by economic issues.

  • ralfamongx0rz now mccain is afraid to debate obama and suspended his campain. One time i saw a dying bird with clear liquid coming out of its ears and it had that same look in its eyes that mccain has

  • From a purely tactical perspective, it was a shrewed (perhaps somewhat desperate) move by McCain. It put Obama in a tight spot. Obama responded in the best way he could. He's right, McCain needs to be able to focus on more than one thing at a time and it is important that we get to see who's going to be running the country through this crisis.

Now we have to see how smart or stupid the public are on this one.

  • lol Things are getting a little desperate in the McCain camp.

  • If Obama loses, I'm moving to Canada.

  • well, be careful with that one, cos you gotta deal with people like stephen hill, who is not unlike bush in some ways... and they have been meeting over the years; there was also, in 2005 in particular, discussion on the progression of what is commonly known in some circles as 'the amero', merging the economies of canada, the u.s. and mexico...

good luck, and i wish you much peace, wharever you go...

  • i HOPE the debate goes on as planned so obama can destroy mccain... i agree - we need to hear what their plans are!

  • McBush is a lying sack of shit. Forget about suspending your campaign, you should cancel that disgrace you are running and take a long vacation, at least 10 years worth. You and your deregulating Republicrats are to blame for this economic mess, we know what the heck is going on, no more bullshit.

You better show up for the debate or your finished, McBush.

  • This is bullshit ! It is the most important election and they want to postpone it? All these politicians are cowards.

  • Bush dodges the convention, McCain dodges the debates. Is hiding the only way to win for them? Any presidential candidate worth his salt should be able to multi-task. Show us what you've got (or quit).

  • Amen!
